Iranian imam murdered in the Iranian city of Kazeroun

The Imam of Friday Prayer of the Iranian city of Kazeroun was stabbed to death on Wednesday morning, according to Radio Farda.

The Imam, Mohammad Khorsand, was stabbed in front of his home after returning from a religious ceremony early Wednesday morning, according to the provincial deputy police commander for social affairs, IRGC Colonel Kavous Mohammadi told the Iranian news agency IRNA.

The murderer was identified soon after the murder and was arrested later on Wednesday in Kazeroun. The motive for the killing is still be investigated.

Witnesses at the scene told IRNA that the murderer asked for a selfie with the Imam and then attacked him. ... At least one person died in the protests and dozens more were arrested. The New York Center for Human Rights In Iran reported that local sources said that at least three people were killed.

In videos on social media, protestors chanted slogans against Iranian state policy and stated that the United States was not Iran’s real enemy.

“Our enemy is right here. They’re wrong to say it’s America,” protestors chanted.

I see hope in this -- President Trump's latest moves of first scaring the regime to think war will come, then taking it back at the last moment will convince more Iranians that "America is NOT the enemy" and at the same time by beating them with sanctions and still saying "join America and you'll be rich" he is increasing local discontent

By his actions, the President has earned a Nobel Peace Prize. Unlike Obama, who simply showed up, President Trump has accomplished much. But, he is persona non-grata with the Leftist elites, so he will receive no prize but will receive ongoing condemnation for daring to win the election and protect our country.

Friday is the muzzie holy day, with the midday prayer of that day being about the biggest turnout*.

*: Just as an aside, it is usually after the Friday midday prayer that they do the public executions in Saudi Arabia, in the square right next to the main mosque.I I imagine it's the same in Iran.... Some Fridays they even have a double-header!
