oe Walsh, the former congressman who's challenging President Trump in the Republican Party's presidential primary, said in a Monday night CNN interview that he lost his popular radio show and had just received notice before arriving to the studio for the sit-down. Walsh told CNN's John Berman that he expected the move because nearly "80 to 90%" of his audience supports the president. "I am running for president. I oppose this president. Most of my listeners support the president," said Walsh. "It's not an easy thing to do to be in conservative talk radio and oppose this president."

The conservative had broadcast his show through Salem Radio Network.

Same thing happened to Mike Huckabee. He should have expected this and probably did. It’s more fun playing the victim, though.

“They dropped Medved.”

I used to like Merced before he became an open borders fanatic ( or before I realized he was one). Point is, why has Salem been home to so many Koch-bros type GOPee hosts?

...nearly "80 to 90%" of his audience supports the president

A good leader listens to his audience and works to support that audience and their wishes.

A bad leader should get the hint and know when he's gone astray and is not wanted, and should leave the stage, completely.

Why would 8 or 9 supporters of President Trump listen to loser joe walsh spew liberal propaganda?

He thought he would have a free campaign broadcast via his show? Did he think it was somehow owed to him?

Also, if “80 to 90%” of his audience supports President Trump - I’d assume this means advertisers on the show would see a massive decline in listeners as an anti-Trump message was barfed out daily.

I may not be the brightest bulb myself, but Mr. Walsh is coming in at a solid 20 watt.

No surprise— heard the clown that replaced him in the very late night spot-— now, or still on the Salem Network.

As pseudo libertarian neocon when needed as Beck— just as clueless and definitely not wrapped very tight mentally. Sort of like the time when the Libs began calling trump a
nazi because he was saying “America First” in all trade and in our true NATIONAL interests not “entangled” in foreign affairs to the benefit of “americans” who do not have our National interests in mind.

Equating this notion to some WWII German American Bund (which was a 5th column Socialist group masquerading as “conservative” trying to pick off anti-Roosevelt repubs and dems of the day— who had similar (((targets))), culturally). That is the kind of clown Joe Walsh is.

Out of curiosity, has he given reasons why he opposes the President? Other than “I don’t like him”, that is.

Huckabee announced on air when he was cancelling his show. It was right before he became a candidate.

Isn't Salem the Medved network?

Salem ditched Michael Medved for the same reason. Their audience got tired of the ongoing NeverTrump yammerings.

That caused Hugh Hewitt to get religion in a hurry
(he had declared Trump DOA when the Access Hollywood
thing broke),

Is this guy really so stupid that he didn’t know that? If a political candidate could get paid to do a radio or TV show, John McCain would have been getting paid $10 billion a year to host a weekly show on al-Jazeera.

“Salem ditched Michael Medved for the same reason”

Ok, but Medved had been doing that for YEARS before Salem and he parted ways. Also he was a full time open borders mouthpiece. Why did Salem keep him for so long — in the face of audience support for Trump?

My hypothesis: Salem is a Koch-bros-type neoconnish outfit.

“That caused Hugh Hewitt to get religion in a hurry

I don’t agree with Hewitt on some things, but he is a class act, no profanity , suggestiveness or the like. I can see where the Access Hwood tapes would have turned him off. But he also understands the election stakes - the Supreme Court

In contrast, Kristol was / is ok with giving the Democrats the Supreme Court. Suggesting he was never honest about being “conservative”, it was all a show to push some other agenda
