“It showed that there was a period of a few seconds where the defendant was on the ground, the victim was not advancing on him, the defendant pulled his pistol, the victim backed away,...”

Wrong. Look at the video again, it clearly shows to perp shoving the gun owner to the ground and advancing until the pulls out his gun.

The perp had no intention of stopping the attack until the gun was drawn.

‘The perp had no intention of stopping the attack until the gun was drawn.’

that may be true; but it is also true, as you admit, that he stopped once the weapon was produced...so what then justified the usage of deadly force...?

"The perp had no intention of stopping the attack until the gun was drawn."

It's the moment the trigger was pulled that matters, not the moment the gun was drawn.

Bull, you are just as big of a coward as this man.

He shoved him to the ground and if his desire was to beat him, the pathetic yellow spine would have never had a chance to even draw his gun.

The shooter was under no immediate threat, and had nothing but his pride hurt because how dare someone show him to be the pathetic little man that he was.

There is absolutely no justifiable self defense here, this is a coward and a murderer. Should be swinging by his neck from a tree.
