Advocates sound alarm as uninsured rate rises under Trump(barf Alert)
The Hill ^ | 25th August 2019 | PETER SULLIVAN

The uninsured rate is rising for the first time since ObamaCare passed, two recent studies show, alarming advocates who fear the problem could get worse.

Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released in July show there were 2.1 million more uninsured people between 2016 and 2018. And a study from the Urban Institute this month, using Census Bureau data, found 700,000 more uninsured people just between 2016 and 2017.

The increase is especially noteworthy given the strong economy, signaling the uninsured rate will rise even higher if the economy worsens and people start losing the coverage they get at their jobs.

Liberal advocates are blaming Trump administration policies, such as repealing the mandate to have coverage and cutting funding for outreach to help people enroll.

“The broader economy would say we should be going the other direction,” said Eliot Fishman, senior director of health policy at the liberal advocacy group Families USA. “I think it’s for sure because of Trump administration policies.”

The uptick in the uninsured rate is not massive, and there are still significant gains in insurance coverage since ObamaCare went into effect in 2014. The uninsured rate for people under 65 fell from 16.7 percent in 2013 to 10.3 percent in 2016, according to the CDC survey, which translates to 16.7 million people gaining coverage.

But since then, the gains have started to reverse, with the uninsured rate ticking up to 11 percent in 2018.

Tom Miller, a health policy expert at the right-leaning American Enterprise Institute, said the concerns of liberal advocates were overblown, dismissing finger-pointing at the Trump administration over a relatively small increase in the uninsured rate.

“I think they’d point to that if the temperature went up half a degree,” Miller said. He added that dire warnings that repealing the

So, what does this show? People may be choosing to not enrich insurance companies and to just pay cash for medical services actually used.

These ‘advocates” need to dig into their own pockets...and get their grubby paws out of everyone else’s.

As more people find jobs, fewer people qualify for the free version of Obamacare. However, the newly employed choose not to pay the outlandish premiums and deductions Obamacare is infamous for.

And in other news, over 2.1 million “immigrants” entered the country during the same period...

Insurance does not make anyone any healthier. No one is denied medical care in this country because they can’t afford it. A trip to almost any hospital emergency room will confirm this. Most of the transports we did in the inner city had no intention of ever paying. We had one bum who lived in our streets for many years and got transported once or twice a day. They rewarded him with attention, a soft warm bed and something to eat. He ran up over $2 Million in medical expenses and the only thing wrong with him was his affection for marijuana and alcohol.

That’s because the young people who need healthcare the least are opting out.

Let’s see why:

Bronze Obamacare Plan, 2 people over 50, NO Health Problems EVER:

Monthly Premium $1100
Deductible $8000

After deductible is satisfied they pay 60%

So what does this tell us?
1. Before you receive a single penny of coverage you must spend $21,200

2. Once you Spend $21K then they pay 60%

This is NOT Insurance, it is a CRIMINAL FRAUD RACKET!!
\

My wife and I do not have insurance as a result of this Criminal Fraud, however we do have the money in the bank to pay for our own care when needed.

Here in California they made Short Term Insurance or Indemnity Plans ILLEGAL, but we both have AZ Drivers Licenses, we have 3 homes also. So this week I am going to contact my Attorney and see what he says about buying an Indemnity Plan for the 2 of us using Our AZ Address

Indemnity Plan in AZ for ANY doctor I choose in ANY STATE is:

$300 per month
$10,000 Deductible
20% copay afterwards

$2 Million Dollar CAP

as you see it is still $10,000 CHEAPER and provides superior coverage

This is my life. The transporting part. New Haven, CT. Every day. Same people. The cost to taxpayers is staggering. Funny thing about slavery reparations. Look who the slaves are now.
