Because you have a healthy pancreas that can handle it.

Diabetes who develop diabetes after putting on weight have a weak pancreas that can not keep up with the amount of food they eat.

When they cut down their pancreas can once more keep up. Providing that in the interim they have not damaged it with the any one of a dozen things that can harm your pancreas.

So you’re saying people with a healthier pancreas, for whatever reason, are less prone to getting diabetes.

I was strong and did box into my mid 20s and hit the big on and off for years after.

Maybe you’re more prone to diabetes if your pancreas has been taking a beating since a young age?

I dunno. Just throwing it out there :)

Anyway, God was KIND, to say the least, in sparing me.

I will not test him again.
