Country and pop singer superstar Taylor Swift vowed to become more political earlier this year, which left many "Swifties," as her fans are called, wondering how she would go about doing that. It turns out, being more political simply means kowtowing to the leftist mob and being anti-Trump and showing support for abortion.
Ahead of her newly released album, Lover, Swift sat down with The Guardian to discuss her newfound political agenda. In short, she said she has become disillusioned with America and its values. This s particularly due to President Donald J. Trump and Republicans, she said.
She claimed Trump won the election because "all the dirtiest tricks in the book were used and it worked."She also lamented current political discourse, saying that Trump supporters are really "gaslighting the American public into being like, 'If you hate the president, you hate America.'"

I agree that her songs are so simple I wonder how they were so successful. Still, the presentation of them including Taylor’s looks were nice, and I appreciated that her songs weren’t dirty. Also I admired the fact that she actually wrote the songs she performed.
Big mistake that she’s no longer pure fun but has now jumped into politics.
I hate her music, every song sounds the same. She basically caters to the 10 year old crowd.
Due to comments from FReepers who like her music, I went to YouTube and listened to a broad selection of her songs. Every one was complete and utter disposable, immediately forgettable, cliched dreck. Her political opinions have the same value as her musical output - none.
Uh oh, looks like our girl Tay-Tay has really stepped in it! Thank God I can separate the artist’s work from their politics (said the last person who still plays Dixie Chicks LOUD all the time!)
Clearly, she should be disillusioned with the USA - the country that has rewarded her with untold wealth simply because she can sing.
