Indeed. I live in California, where every year my vote is irrelevant because California’s electoral votes all go to the Dem candidate anyway. Under a national popular vote scheme my vote MIGHT actually count for something.

No thanks.

The court ruling this week on Electors, provided it’s upheld on appeal (which it will be)), pretty much kills off this “National Popular Vote” crap.
Electors are selected by their political parties, and there is simply NO WAY to get more than a few of them to go against the their party...even if that includes Trump.

Lets say the democrat party gets its wish. America goes full radical, rewrites Article II, and does away with the Electoral College (EC). Thanks to the 28th Amendment, Presidential electors are identical to those for House and Senate races. If this happens, count on ever more lawsuits and violence over ballots, access, and local vote-counting procedures. Elimination of this last federal institution may eventually mean the end of the American republic.
Another Reason to Keep the Electoral College.

So pass voter ID and stop voter fraud. It’s really not that complicated. I’m just frustrated at the system for throwing away my vote based on where I live.

Better idea. Make all the electoral college vote have to follow my vote.

So pass voter ID and stop voter fraud. Its really not that complicated. I agree, but how are we going to get the blue states to enforce those laws when they are relying on illegal votes and voter fraud to get elected?

Did you see what Saul Anuses said recently? Actually, he wrote an entire farticle. He think Texas could “go blue” so we should put our faith in California illegals.
