The NY Times Jumps the Shark with 1619

RUSH: Folks, the corruption of so much now is official with the leftist agenda, and none of it, none of it is based in fact, none of it is based in truth. Every aspect of it is geared toward lying, exaggerating in order to further the political agenda because their agenda is wrong! They simply cannot rely on day to day facts to move their agenda forward.

They have to make it all up like the New York Times rewriting the founding of America to be the year 1619 and to say that everything that’s happened in this country since, including and especially the great things that have happened, have all been illegitimate because they happened on the backs of slaves and slavery.

I think the New York Times has jumped the shark on this. I’m gonna explain why as the program unfolds because much as you and I might not want to admit it, there are millions of people who have no idea that the New York Times is now a left-wing house organ. There are millions of Americans who think that the New York Times is the epitome of classic, unbiased, objective journalism. Do not doubt me on this.

Now, you may think it sounds unbelievable, “Rush, how can any reasonable, critically thinking human being realize that?” Well, the answer is years and years and years of branding. But this, to go so over the top in trying now to rewrite the history of the founding, there’s nothing about this that is journalism. And this is gonna cause the New York Times more problems than I think they can fathom.

Impossible, yet Pinochet made it happen.

The year 1619 saw two of the earliest battles of the Thirty Years War--Záblatí (Sablat), a victory for the Holy Roman Empire over Bohemia, and Dolní Věstonice (Wisternitz), a victory for Bohemia and Moravia over the Imperialists, who would eventually conquer Bohemia and Moravia in 1620.

Epstein provided white liberal 'elites' with children to rape.

White liberal 'elites' at the New York Times don't show any interest in finding out which white liberal elites visited Orgy Island.

Any guesses why they don't care?

Are they protecting friends and sources?

Or worse?

“This is satanic.” HOORAY Rush. The lie is the weapon used most often by the criminal.

Revisionist history goes hand in hand with virtue signaling which can degenerate quickly into violence signaling. The enemies domestic are prepping the battlefield.

The shot heard ‘round the world may be different this time. Triangulation and/or crossfire hurricane. Be vigilante.

Re: We hate them, they hate us... let’s part ways.

Completely agree.

This time - let’s focus on a PEACEFUL separation of the former “United” States.

Last time - 10% of the young men in the country were killed, another 10% were maimed or permanently disabled, and the economy of the Old South was destroyed for almost a century.

‘from the end of the American Revolution (1783) until the Emancipation Proclamation (1863)’

slavery was freely practiced throughout the eighteenth century in the colonies, mainly on the rice, indigo, and tobacco plantations along the southeastern coast; should you not add that period to your 80 year reckoning...?

There are protocols in place that the mere mention of would get me banned.

Loose lips, and all that...

This is truly amazing. Most things do not surprise me. This ploy by the New York Times did.

Similarly, the Deep State jumped the shark with the Jeffrey Epstein imprisonment (regardless of what really happened to him).

If slaves made America an exceptional country, shouldn’t Africa be 100 times more exceptional than America?

The federal income tax happened after 1619 so I guess that’s invalid too. Cool. I’ll wait for the NY Times to put out a series of editorials on that topic.

The seed of the inevitable destruction of slavery was planted within the Declaration of Independence.

In Christian Europe in the Middle Ages, the slaves (Latin servus, plural servi) gradually became serfs, who were unfree but had more rights than slaves. Only non-Christians could be enslaved. So many people from the pagan Slavic tribes of Eastern Europe were enslaved that the English word word for "slave" derives from the ethnic term Slav. (The present-day Slavs are descended from those who were not enslaved.)

When the Portuguese began to explore the African coast, the pope gave them approval to enslave the natives--but only those who were not Christian. Religion was what determined if you were fair game, not skin color.

Burying the Holocaust while trying to get the owner’s family out.

Knowing printing Walter Duranty’s lies, which were Stalinist propaganda.

Jayson Blair.

And NOW they jumped the shark???

Two notable events happened in Jamestown in 1619: the first representative government in the English colonies was established, and the first sale of Africans took place. Naturally The New York Times is only interested in the latter topic.

Much of the Korean populace were slaves until 1894. Slavery did not fully end until sometime during the Japanese occupation period.

Key phrase: “this country”

What happened before the independence of this country is not our so-called “original sin” - it was determined by European monarchs an ocean away. Please don’t underestimate the importance of that point.

Sure - it certainly wasn’t an American invention, and persists today in the places like the Sudan.
