I’m sorry I gotta agree with it to some extent.

He KNEW about the first “suicide” attempt and by then PEOPLE HERE were talking about how he was gonna get murdered.

AM I supposed to believe that Barr didn’t know the very same thing??

And if he did (and he did) figure that, he could have EASILY taken measures to ensure epstein’s survival until trial.

We’re still seeing good guys and bad guys throw our lenses but almost ALL of these guys protect each other in the end.

I wouldn’t faint if I heard Barr knew about what was going to happen.

I don’t think so but I wouldn’t faint.

Go ahead, attack.

Okay. What is the AG supposed to do? Personally go to ONE prison to deal with this? Extremely impractical AND stupid. Those to blame are the loser prison employees and the State of New York.

I’m certainly no fan of CNN. AG Barr knew of the first incident and did not act. As a favorite author once wrote, “Not to act is to act!” I’m in complete agreement. Barr is responsible for this fiasco. If the job is too big for him, he needs to step aside.

No attack here. Barr had someone as notorious as Al Capone under the DOJ's watch. If epstein really did have the goods on so many politicians and captains of industry, Barr should have personally ordered extra security for the creep and kept daily tabs. Yes, landing a fish that big requires extra vigilance and Barr failed miserably.

And I don't see it as mere incompetence on Barr's part. When you list out how the system failed at every juncture, it sure smells like a hit - complete with bogus autopsy - and the AG looking the other way as it all went down.

The rule of law is dead in America. The corruption of the government is complete.

Agree. Barr needed to watch the situation closely. But he wasn’t in the prison at the time. All kinds of stupid/evil underlings were responsible/paid off.

A serious investigation is needed,. Tho it’s too late to make a difference., we at least need to see the dots connected. And there are so very many possibilities.

IMHO, another Arkancide.

I'm getting a sense that Barr and the rest of the justice system are going slow walk this case and drag it out and "close ranks" on any revelations to save face for some big-time business leaders, politicians and high-profile mucky-mucks involved.

I think the real power behind the power in this country is above Barr and the DOJ's pay grade. Barr and the DOJ aren't the ones calling the shots here.

I believe the first step in this process was to murder Epstein and make it look like a suicide before he went to court and spilled the beans on these powerful folks.

The second step will be for the FBI to bungle the investigation, which won't be a shock since their reputation is enmeshed in a scandal right now. They will lose or destroy evidence in an attempt to tamp down the damage this case will cause. They will not find significant evidence on the island because it was cleaned out before they decided to go there.

The third step is to lose track of Epstein's ex-girlfriend and pimp, Ghislaine Maxwell. She should have been arrested by now, especially after Epstein's demise. She's staged two phony sightings recently to throw people off her scent. She's gone to ground, as they say. She's at risk for a future "suicide" too.

And the final steps will be to throw some small fries under the bus and throw them in the pokey for a while, like the jailers and warden and some lesser knowns.

Then maybe one or two well-known but not that important pedophile guys, like a Prince Andrew or an Alan Dershowitz, as well. This is needed to satisfy and appease the girls who were trafficked, molested and abused by Epstein and the names on his client list. Also because some of them are suing in court.

And all of this will happen in plain sight, right before our eyes. The fix is in and this scandal will burn brightly for awhile and then the flame will begin to sputter and eventually flicker out. Case closed. Move on.
