When word got out during the last presidential election that Seattle developer Martin Selig would be supporting Donald Trump, the blowback from our liberal town, he said, was “stunning.”

In reaction, Selig, a billionaire, retreated from any affiliation with Trump in 2016 and said he wouldn’t even vote for him. It had become problematic just getting along in the city while wearing a MAGA hat.

With nearly 15 months to go before the 2020 election, he already has drawn more donations from Seattle addresses than he did during the entire 2016 campaign.
In Washington state, where his approval rating is 28 points underwater, Trump has still racked up far more donations, big and small, than any of the Democratic candidates — in fact more than the top six Democrats combined.
I’m not talking about total dollars raised — though on that front Trump is a juggernaut, too. But the total number of donations reflects how many people are inspired enough by a candidate to send any amount of money, sometimes repeatedly. As I wrote in 2016, about how democratic socialist candidate Bernie Sanders was swamping the field in the donations category, “it’s like a measure of people power.”

One of leftist talking points since the election has been while Trump won the electoral college he lost the popular vote. We know that that is a highly disputable point but it is ingrained in the leftist mindset. Our side needs to remove that talking point in 2020. Even if you are in the deepest blue rathole and you feel your vote is pointless one should vote just to help that stupid popular vote thingy be removed from the dims.
I’m telling ya a lot of people who get polled will STILL be embarrassed to say they are voting for him.
That, on TOP of the slant in polls most of the time will make for horrible poll numbers.
But polls don’t win elections.
We have to beat out lots of dead people, homeless people and illegals getting rounded up to vote so we have to turn out yuge.

Anybody who sees what is happening to these Democrat run cities and states should be scared to death. The left is insane. This is truly a turning point for the Republic. Trump brought it out into the open.

FReepers (not bad people) said I was wrong last week or so when I said there is a chilling effect on people assembling for their right to political meetings to discuss and promote candidates (Trump). Bumper sticker on truck or car = vandalism or run off the road into the ditch. MAGA hat = getting brutally beaten or tear gassed or having liquid thrown in one’s face.
They said “you’re wrong on this one, Frank. Thousands can’t get into the Trump rallies”.
But others are afraid to show up. All are afraid to say anything at work or at school or a university. No one can talk at a family gathering. Every MAGA person thinks “Am I really the only one in this town? Would my customers drop me if I said I liked Trump and go to my competitors? Should I pretend I’m PC to avoid being boycotted?”
That is as bad as 1776: “You guys are ok with your high praises of us British soliders running your colony. But Tom Paine and Samuel Adams are going to be found and hanged soon.” But keep practicing your free speech.
You are asking for your car to get keyed if you put a Trump sticker on your car here. I have never seen a Trump sticker here. You will see Hillary (many of the rats have kept their stickers on) Sanders, or Obama/Biden, but never a Trump sticker.

Actually I believe it is accurate to say that from a statutory standpoint there is no such thing as a popular vote in presidential elections.
