Holier-than-thou teen climate activist who dissed Trump not as ‘green’ as she thinks

Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old Swedish climate activist who said that meeting Donald Trump during her upcoming visit to America would be a “waste,” is not quite as pure as she thinks.

Much has been made of the fact that Thunberg will be traveling to the U.S. via a “zero-carbon” high-tech racing yacht instead of flying. The teen, who has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize(!), is heading to New York for a U.N. summit on the climate.

When asked if she would meet with the president, she answered, “Why should I waste time talking to him when he, of course, is not going to listen to me?” Apart from the fact no invitation to a meeting with the White House was tendered, she sounds like the sort of smug teen whose face the Left would like to slap.

As for her vaunted boat trip, it, too, has been sullied by the revelation that, once the ship reaches port, two crew members will need to be flown across the Atlantic to bring the boat back. According to Firstpost:

Latest: Tlaib's 'sweet' old granny puts a curse on Donald Trump

A spokeswoman for Team Malizia said it’ll be necessary to fly the crew to the U.S. because the high-profile trip with the 16-year-old Swedish campaigner that left Plymouth on Wednesday was arranged at very short notice.

Holly Cova [the team’s manager] told The Associated Press by email Friday that “we only have one boat, so they cannot easily sail over to meet them.”

Kinda takes the starch out of Thunberg’s sails, no?

Cova said the team recognises it’s “an imperfect solution” but believes offsetting the emissions by funding carbon-reducing projects elsewhere “is better than doing nothing.”

Heeled over at about 45 degrees, this is not a safe way to cross the big pond. One can predict a capsize, but they are likely under satellite surveillance with “Deep State” rescue aircraft at the ready.

The winds blow hard at the beginning of hurricane season over the Atlantic. One can hope that the weather pulls their plug.

A far better choice!

“The Nobel prize is awarded by Lefties to Lefties for just being Lefties. “

Substitute the Nobel Peace Prize with the Nobel Globalist Joke Prize and that better describes it.

Yep, it would be fun to perform a study of the embodied energy in that boat.

Money is really data about energy use. What anything costs is proportional to the energy consumed and pollution generated in creating it. Spending money is the same thing as consuming energy. It's also why the socialist practice of pricing expensive things below the cost of energy to provide them results in a financial short circuit that ends in an economic meltdown. It's why socialism can't work.

Factoring in that time is money, airline travel is the most energy efficient mode of people transport ever invented. A Dreamliner can fly a human to the other side of the planet at 560 mph for $150. The rest of the ticket price goes towards taxes and fees, proving the obvious that government is extremely energy inefficient. Big government has the largest carbon footprint of all with the least to show for it. The most efficient way to fight pollution is to fight for smaller government.

So how is she getting back to Sweden? Her boat will be gone.

She'll use the transporter...

So, the team that takes it back is flying here to get it, and she, obviously, will then be flying home... Why don't they eliminate a flight, and have the team just sail it here with her?

Better yet, why doesn't she just sail it back home?
