The Green County Prosecutor in Missouri refused to charge Dmitriy Andreychenco with terrorist threat in the first degree. The charge was made in the 2nd degree. Dmitriy was open carrying in a Walmart
U.S.A. -(Ammoland.com)- At about 4:10 p.m. on 8 August, 2019 Dmitriy Andreychenco parked in the parking lot of the Walmart Neighborhood Market in Springfield, Missouri. He took an tactical ballistic vest out of the car, put it on, and slung a AR type rifle. He walked into the store. He was open carrying and testing his Second Amendment rights, as confirmed by his wife and his sister. He had his phone in his hand and was recording himself as he pushed a cart through the store. He never pointed the firearm at anyone or made any verbal or written threat. The Walmart manager stated he heard an employee say that Dmitriy was coming into the store with the vest and the rifle. He observed Dmitriy walking in the store aisles. He told an employee to pull the fire alarm in order to get people to evacuate the store.
Dmitriy evacuated the store with the rest of the customers. As he left the store, another armed citizen pointed a gun at him and held him for police.
The police took Dmitry into custody without incident. A video shows him acting calmly and carefully following police commands. Police quickly determined he was not a threat, as the store manager had assumed.

Even though I severely disagree with what he did, I posted some time ago that he was not going to be prosecutable like people thought because he did not act like he was going to shoot anyone.
A key point.
“As he left the store, another armed citizen pointed a gun at him and held him for police.”
While this may or may not have been prudent - was it legal? I’m guessing that a citizen’s arrest is legal - but what if the guy hasn’t done anything illegal?
My son has a saying - I wish I could remember it correctly! But something along the lines of “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” (It is more profound than that).
On the other hand - I get that his point was to uphold his God given rights, affirmed by our Constitution.
Could be charged with illegal imprisonment. I believe citizens arrest are mostly a nono except if certain exceptions are taken into account during the stopping of the perso
“In short, anyone who is exercising their Second Amendment rights on the basis of MUAH RAHTS!!!!!! and in such a way that the actual and reasonably foreseeable effect is to undermine generalized political support for the Second Amendment is no genuine friend of the Second Amendment. They are, rather, engaged in self-serving, attention-grabbing behavior that is detrimental to the Second Amendment. They are no ally of the Second Amendment, and no friend of mine.”

My sympathy for grandstanding Dmitriy is zilch.
“He took an tactical ballistic vest out of the car”

“an” tactical vest? Who taught this writer/editor English?
Should be no charge at all. What he was doing was entirely legal under Missouri law.
Under Missouri law? Yes it is.
Just because you can, doesnt mean you should.
But just because you do doesn't mean you should be arrested.
Extremely bad timing after someone opened fire in an El Paso Walmart in the same profile
Bo = no
“My sympathy for grandstanding Dmitriy is zilch.”

My first reaction was thinking that he was a grandstanding idiot.
My second? Thinking that if he is gainfully working his employer must now be thinking the same thing.
Can you imagine knowing you have such a grandstanding idiot on your staff??
I would be watching his Ps & Qs so closely if he burped I’d know about it.
“IF HE BURPED I’D KNOW ABOUT IT”.
YOU WOULD CERTAINLY KNOW IF HE FARTED.
In the current antigun hysteria, Demitri determined that it was time to demonstrate reality. He actually pointed out to hysterical wacko gunhating democrats that one could wear a war vest and carry a loaded firearm into a walmart to go shopping.
What he did was not only brave but of great service to America. He single handedly threw egg on the faces of the over exurbnent wacko gun haters.
They had it coming.
He knew there are apologists like you that favor the erosion of the second amendment to appear nice and all kumbaya face.
You have comitted the greater sin
“I know a guy”...who carries concealed in Walmart, Target, Sears, and everywhere else, who isn’t seeking attention, but still exercising his God given rights.
This guy was looking to be arrested.
