“Under the federally-mandated review process, there should be a full study and consideration of ways, first to avoid, then to minimize and then, as a last resort, to mitigate the adverse effects of the plans to build the OPC in historic Jackson Park,” the letter states.

Instead, “virtually all the focus” of the City Hall presentation was on “how the city was looking at mitigation. ... They completely skipped consideration of avoidance and minimization,” the letter states.

As a result, the meeting “felt a lot like meetings past: an engineered agenda with a pre-determined outcome, paying lip service only to the idea of an open meeting,” according to the letter.

“Your administration has promised transparency, accountability and openness to community input. Nothing of the sort occurred,” the letter states.

They should demand the birth certificate from everyone involved.

I wonder about this whole non profit business.

If the CEO is making a fortune, then someone IS profiting.

Jesus is one of the few real non profits I know of.

Maybe non profits should read up on his life and take it fro there.

The way I remember the story a bunch of bishops met in the Council of Nicea in 325 AD to decide what the “truth” was...and the world’s largest non-profit was created by human beings.

Non-profits have gone downhill since then. :-(

the meeting “felt a lot like meetings past: an engineered agenda with a pre-determined outcome, paying lip service only to the idea of an open meeting,”

That is the democrat way.

I want to use that opportunity to make catalytic change in the trajectory of the quality of life for people in those neighborhoods.”

Oh, the quality of life will be changed, for the worse.

Cut down 2,000 trees for this eyesore?

The old world will burn in the fires of industry. The forests will fall. A new order will rise. We will drive the machine of war with the sword and the spear and the iron fist of the Orc! We have only to remove those who oppose us. ~ Saruman

The Black Worship Center will be built

Chicago is ok because no body goes there any more. Too much black violence make a visit not worth the risk

Chicago is Africanized

Barr & Co will soon seriously smudge Obama’s reputation to the point Chicago may want to reconsider this monument to a guy who tried to take down—
‘fundamentally change”- the country.

Chicago is Africanized

Approx one-third black, third white and third Mexican.

The mayor is already under pressure to deliver on her promise of a community benefits agreement (CBA).

0bama does not want a CBA? He is not as stupid as some say.
Years ago I was worked around a project with a CBA, it is a killer.

B) The City of Chicago, University of Chicago, and Barack Obama Foundation shall partner to ensure 80% of the construction jobs for the Obama Presidential Center, University of Chicago Dorm, Hotel, and Conference Center, and city infrastructure developed for the Obama Presidential Center are filled by southside residents and that their demographics are consistent with southside demographics: 35% of the apprenticeships and 20% of journey workers, across all trades, hired by the contractors must come from the southside and their demographics must reflect southside communities; General and sub-contractors and trade unions will partner with local technical training institutes to fill apprenticeship positions; Wages should not go below Chicago’s living wage and/or the federal government standard per the respective field, including, but not limited to Davis & Bacon prevailing wages

http://www.obamacba.org/2018-ordinance-outline.html

Sitting at a meeting with my owner, the resident worker was mentioned, just so we didn't forget.
The owner says, just give us an address and we will send a check. A small job only one resident worker.

Right now my union pipefitter neighbor is working all the OT he wants because the union halls are empty.
Good luck finding qualified help and will need to pass a drug test!!

Labor should be <30%, With a CBA ~50%.

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow

And just think, that POS enemy of this country will eventually get a monument on the national mall, to kowtow to a specific tribe. Like the MLK monument.
