House GOP leader Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) repeated her call for Rep. Steve King (R-IA) to resign from Congress following his newly-publicized comments on rape and incest.
“What if we went back through all the family trees and just pulled out anyone who was a product of rape or incest?” King said earlier this week at Iowa’s Westside Conservative Club. “Would there be any population of the world left if we did that?”
King was apparently attempting to defend legislation to restrict abortion even in cases of rape and incest when he went on the bizarre tangent.

This is pretty stupid to be news. I know that King has his reasons. But from an intellectual “what if” point of view it’s actually quite an interesting thought experiment. It really doesn’t matter what your position on abortion is to think through the scenario he laid out. Not sure there is any point to it, but it’s a way of thinking about things.
“what if” every product of rape and incest, and all their descendants, were disappeared as if they never existed. How many people alive now would vanish?

Go back very far and the numbers will go out of sight; as we know people lived fairly tribal not long ago. Conquer, rape, pillage, taking slaves and territory was common.
Humans have not been civilized all that long and sometimes it shows as some easily slip back into the tribal thing.
Though he is accurate, he is really stupid to say things like that now and should know better.

She has no concept about King’s comments.
I “bark” because there’s lots of wasted effort. King’s comments are a prime example.
Keep focused on 3-4 core objectives. Don’t go off into the weeds explaining those core objectives. Follow through on achieving those core objectives.
King just loves the camera. He’s an inarticulate buffoon. He does more damage then good.
