Gibraltar? Does Iran have to sail a ship around the Cape of Good Hope to get to Syria through the Mediterranean?

INSTEX isn’t working out the way the EU and Iranians thought it would, is it...

Meanwhile, get a load of the spin....

I’d rather own Gibraltar than Greenland.

As soon as it hits open waters....take it again.

Siphon off the oil to other tankers, sell it, keep the money in escrow pending resolution. Send the ship and crew back to Iran...and Iran only.

Of course not...the Gibraltar straits are an international right of way and the British have no jurisdiction to interfere with shipping there.

The article says the Iranian ship was carrying oil to Syria. I’m trying to figure out the logistics of it ending up in Gibraltar.
