Interesting that at 4:30 on a weekday afternoon there all of these able bodied young men hanging around the neighborhood. Maybe they work a night shift somewhere.

Definitely an occasion where some collateral damage by the criminal could be tolerated shooting towards that crowd. Maybe next time police won't expand the zone keeping the lookie-lous back at a safe distance and can give them a closer look.

Knowing what is going to happen, why do they have these events in places like Portland? It never ends well. Plus you end up with a bunch of Youtube videos of people yelling at each other for 25 minutes and then someone throws a punch. Yawn.

Well, that wouldn’t have gotten the entire nation’s attention, so Mayor Kenney could say what he said, which was essentially that only cops should have “this much firepower.”
