Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., blasted his Democratic colleagues on Wednesday for sending a stern and unusual warning to the Supreme Court earlier this week in connection with a gun case.
Judiciary Committee members Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, and Richard Durbin, D-Ill., along with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., wrote in a brief filed Monday that the "Supreme Court is not well.” They suggested the court “heal itself” or face public pressure to be “restructured.”
Graham said this was a clear reference to expanding the number of justices on the court to make it more liberal.
“When you hear Democrats talking about expanding the Supreme Court….....they are talking about making the Court more liberal,” Graham said in a Wednesday tweet that linked to a Fox News article about the brief. “This has been a Dream of the Left for decades. I will do everything in my power to ensure that dream is NEVER fulfilled!”
The Democrats’ brief was filed in a case centered on a New York City gun law that placed restrictions on people transporting licensed, locked and unloaded firearms outside the city.

And he’s going to do that by giving the Democrats a permanent majority with amnesty for illegal aliens.
Grahamnesty is putting out some red meat so you’ll vote for amnesty, again.
The Democrat Party is all about bullying and intimidation. They’ve threatened individuals, organizations and now, the SCOTUS. Reason and persuasion have failed them entirely. All they have left is terrorism.
How exactly does the Court “heal itself”? Do they mean they have to vote for the “liberal” side of any issue before the court, regardless of what the constitution says, or text of the laws or policies say?
I don’t think it’s a question of whether the Supreme Court is well. I think these Democrats are moonbat crazy and need to be defeated. They are literally threatening the Supreme Court. I think they jumped the shark on this one.
Graham is all hat no cattle. When is he going to hold hearings on the Russian hoax and witch hunt? I have no doubt that McCain filled him in on the dossier when McCain learned of it in August 2016.
Exactly...They’re going to rue the day they did this, in my view.

The democrat warning to the SCOTUS is them playing the part of “the wind” in this analogy I heard in childhood:
The sun and the wind had a contest to get the coat off a man walking down the street. The wind blew and blew, but the harder it blew, the man grasped his coat ever firmer.
Then it was the sun’s turn. The sun simply shone brightly and the man took off his coat.
If you are on the supreme court, you have a quite strong ego. People “tell you what to do” at their peril.
Wonder how the democrRats would like it, if Trump proposed to increase the number of justices on the SCOTUS to 24, with him naming all the new members.
He could tweak them massively here...
Voicing support for that sort of thing, even in just would be defeatist though. They’d later say Trump approved of it when he was president.
He could a least ask the question in public how they’d like it if he did, just to watch them melt down.

I’d bet the farm they’d scream like raped apes and the enemedia would be screaming right along with them.
The older liberals went crazy on pot, pills and acid in the ‘60s and ‘70s. The younger liberals were fed Ritalin and Adderall for breakfast by the older liberals until they were old enough for pot, pills and acid.
In short, a huge slice of the country is two or three generations into bat**it crazy.
(Before anyone feels offended, I should note that I’m talking about liberals here. I’m pretty sure the vast majority of conservatives can handle their substances. :)
