Glen Burnie, Md. (WJLA) - A family says they are left heartbroken and saddened after they were asked to leave an Outback Steakhouse restaurant in Glen Burnie, Maryland on Saturday night because of their son who has neurological challenges.
Amanda Braun's son, Killian, was born with a neurological disorder that affects his speech called Childhood Apraxia of Speech. The disorder affects Killian in many ways especially communication and behavior.
Sometimes when he speaks, his words are unclear.
However, Amanda says she's never had problems before the incident at Outback occurred and that Killian was not acting out of the ordinary.
"Our son stayed with us in our booth. There werent many people around us as we were seated in the very back of the restaurant to accommodate our party size" said Amanda. She admits there was some noise but that it wasn't constant.
She says moments after dinner arrived, they were approached by a manager and ultimately asked to leave.

People with normal kids have opinions too.
At the beginning, when the first one with special needs was little
You should have controlled the kid or kept him home.
I had another child with special needs.
I'm seeing a trend.
you have never attempted to live a normal family life with kids with special needs.
Most people have normal kids.
“We dont go there very often..........”
Like the man said, “Nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded”
“We walked out of a Chilis once because of the seating.......”
LOL. We eat at Chili’s often. You need to assert your preference.
Yogi Berra!......
What a cutie! I would love to lodge a COMPLAINT about the waiters and waitresses who sing LOUDLY “Happy birthday to you” at the top of their lungs. Some make loud noises at the same time. They are so loud and I HATE that! A cute little boy having difficulty talking is NO PROBLEM for NORMAL PEOPLE! Even kids without neurological disorders can be loud sometimes. I will mark OUTBACK off my list! We are retired and love to eat out and take our large family, too. Never again
Friday’s is across the street and Ruby Tuesday is just down the road, and Longhorns as well...........
Outback isn’t half as good as my husband’s grilled steaks. His flat iron is Superb....
When people run to the news media to publicize the mundane disappointments they encounter in life, I tend to disregard them.
Some mothers refuse to admit they have a defective child unfit for going out in public places
I don’t know the facts, either, but I’m betting the special need is for a sitter to sit at home with the screaming meemie. Takers?
Chili’s food gets worse and worse as the menu shrinks.
They need Bar Rescue to remind them how to run the place.
The proper course of action is to move the Complainer
I have a very large family we wouldn’t think about excluding the children form either wedding or churches.
Then go to a restaurant that caters to loud kids. They do exist. Just like restaurants that cater to loud adults. I don’t think anyone is saying to stay out of society. I don’t eat at McDonald’s or Cuck E Cheese and expect quiet conversations. Neither should my grandma eat at Hooters or Dick’s Last Resort and expect a wine Seward or Bucelli playing softly.
My kids didn't have normal kids?
So... my grandkids are retarded?
Like as in putting together a statement like you just did retarded?
Is your retard helmet hot in the summer?
“Kewel. We were almost done anyway. I assume, since you are an insensitive jackass, you are picking up the bill...”
“Ave Good Day”
Props to the armless kid for his efforts to do for himself, even at the risk of offending snowflakes.
When I see folks with those kind of issues, I remind myself “But for the Grace of God...”
