Newly obtained documents confirm that James Comey’s FBI was running a secret and corrupt counterintelligence operation against the Trump campaign in the summer of 2016 and repeatedly deceiving the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) thereafter in order to wiretap a Trump campaign associate.
The disclosure was the result of a federal lawsuit and a year of litigation. Despite efforts by FBI Director Christopher Wray to obstruct, a federal court issued an order that forced the FBI and Department of Justice to produce the records known as “302 reports.” They are a summary of interviews FBI agents conducted with Bruce Ohr, a top DOJ official.
These 302s show that the FBI and DOJ were warned repeatedly by Ohr that ex-British spy Christopher Steele was virulently biased against the target of their investigation, Trump.
That bias tainted the credibility of the “dossier” Steele composed and upon which officials in the Obama administration relied when they officially launched their counterintelligence investigation on July 31, 2016. The “dossier” was also the basis for the surveillance warrant against former Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page.
The FBI and DOJ ignored the warnings of bias and actively concealed it from the FISC. They never advised the judges that the information contained in the “dossier” was “unverified.”
They hid from the judges that it was all funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
The court was never told that Ohr’s wife helped cultivate some of the researched used against Trump. Having fired Steele for leaking to the media and lying about it, the FBI and DOJ represented to the judge that Steele was “reliable” when they knew he was not. They continued to rely on him months after his termination.

To your point, note that no FISA judges have taken any action against the liars. They don’t even want to enforce their own rules with regard to FISA requests.

While Trump knew how to play the New York political scene in order to get projects done, he may have underestimated DC politics.
His Sessions pick is a prime example. Wanted to reward a prominent early supporter of his. Turned out to be one of the worst things that could have happened to him.
Couple that, with a majority of career bureaucrats within the executive branch who are leftists, and Trump has always had an uphill battle. Resisted in the courts, resisted in Congress and resisted within the executive branch.
When it comes to (R) lack of support in particular, I think a lot of them saw the 24x7 RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA fever dream and thought he wouldn't last the first year in office and hedged their bets.

Because mcconnel tells Trump who, and who can not be confirmed in the senate. mcconnel is part of the gang of 8 and knew what was going on all along. They all wanted to take Trump out, now they are in protect mode. mcconnel approved barr because barr is a clean-up man. If you are expecting anyone in the deep state to be held accountable, you are in for a disappointment.
Exactly. Right now they are all trying to keep their treason secret and get through 2020. That will get McConnell and Graham safely reelected for six years, the House still in Dem hands, etc.
I just hope the first thing Trump does if he is re-elected is fire Wray and make a Patriot head of the FBI.
I’d say that is guaranteed. I called Sesssions gone the day after the midterms and I’ll say the same now about Wray after 2020.
I’ve been asking that very question for over a year now.
I know that if I am before a court and there are any shenanigans going on, the judges are down on me like a Bald Eagle on a prairie squirrel.
Not one judge at the FISA court has the integrity to call those officials back into court and demand an explanation, or refer them for prosecution.
The whole Justice System stinks to high heavens.
Trump is not a creature of WDC so how is he to know every Et Tu Brute suggested to him and inherited from Obunghole?

If it was Trump’s line of business, which it’s not, if you haven’t noticed, he’d have started at the state level in some form. Instead he started at the Top of the Top without really knowing hardly anyone in the so call “Business” (HOR and Senate and Deepstate)! So please give him a break or not.
