The Trump administration is moving again to make it more difficult for even legal immigrants to get a foothold in the United States.
Beginning in October, a new rule will make immigrants who use certain government safety-net programs ineligible for permanent residency, blocking their path to naturalized citizenship.

Medicare Part B and Part D cost me and my wife about $12,000 per year. Screw them.
Go back to Bulgaria.
What other country does not have standards for entry?
Pretty simple solution.
Have the President tell the editorial board that they have a point. He’s has folks working on an EO stating that he’s going to compile a list of all the Democratic voters in the country and tax them extra, since they all think that illegals should get public aid. For, it’s only fair that those that support such policies, be the ones that pay for such policies.
Or, he can ask the LA Time editorial board for some help, in setting up a charity to make up the loses these blood sucking savages will undergo. Let’s watch and see how many on the Left donate to that worthy cause.
They can get aid from their own country.
I do not care about them. At. All.
Simple deduction; no freeloaders.
It’s the LAW, passed by Congress, that no immigrants, legal or not, should be dependent on government handouts.
When my ancestors immigrated to Texas from Europe after the Civil War, they had to prove they had purchased property in Texas before they could come. There was no assistance from this country to get them started. That’s the way the USA should have enforced its laws. It would have avoided the mess we are in today.
Except they don't.
Part of the political crisis engulfing the US and the UK is that IT IS PRECISELY THOSE THINGS THAT COMMAND POPULAR SUPPORT that both political parties will not do.
If "no public money for illegals" was on the ballot in California, it would pass overwhelmingly again.
This is not a Democrats vs. Republicans issue. This is a government vs. the People issue, just as Brexit is in the UK.

Disregard as juvenile BS.

Why should taxpayers have to subsidize businesses that want to bring in cheap labor and not pay a living wage. I’m just a little confused, either Dems and donors want to pay a living wage to workers, and will presumably begin by cleaning up their own behavior here, or else they are lying and just trying to gain power over people in both instances, by lying about their intentions to the voters, and by bringing in vulnerable workers so they can get away with labor abuses and have the taxpayers subsidize their payroll.
Social security offices in Washington State and no doubt California and elsewhere are chock-full of Indians and Chinese elderly that never worked a day in their lives in the US, collecting benefits. It’s every H1B’s dream to bring over their whole clan to collect unearned benefits from the USA
This reminds me of Comcast...a loyal customer pays more than a brand new customer - they screw you for being loyal.
I just learned about the Somali day care scandal...apparently we taxpayers were paying the Somalis to run day cares in MN so of course they ripped us off for millions. This was never a good idea. 20+ trillion and counting and our public “servants” are telling us we need to pay more.
<< to make it more difficult for even legal immigrants to get a foothold in the United States. >>
Most taxpaying Americans dont want immigrants whose idea of the American Dream is going on the public dole.
Since the beginning of our immigration laws, immigrants were supposed to be self sustaining...either by a sponsor or “job waiting”.....and free from disease.
For all the fake love for third world losers have you noticed NONE of the liberal elites live anywhere near the people they ‘welcome’?
Or put their kids in schools with them?
Private schools, gated communities, and pushing these people on us to care for...
It’s almost like liberal ‘elites’ are intentionally trying to hurt middle class Americans. Mean people - like they would hunt us and kill us if they could...
The correct way to say this when talking to normies is, "these are the People's laws, passed by Congress, signed by Presidents going back to Truman. The system is not "broken", it's the GOVERNMENT which refuses to enforce OUR laws that's broken".
