The law is on the slung rifle carrying person's side, not the CCW holder.
re: “The law is on the slung rifle carrying person’s side, not the CCW holder.”
But, you’re DEAD, stupid. (In this hypothetical.)
Because you challenged HUMAN NATURE in the form of someone on-edge in the wake of a mass shooting and press-induced hysteria.
You’re just NOT going to get this, are you?
Make better decisions in the future, LET some time pass AFTER the mass-shooting before you parade around in a Wal-mart with a rifle, cammo-shirt, taking full motion-picture “selfies” ...
Actually, the law is likely on both actors sides, in separate situations....
Since Andreychenko WAS NOT charges with any firearms violations, the PA knows that his actions regarding arms was not the issue. Since the CCW guy has not been charged, we assume that the PA sees no issue with holding the subject at gunpoint...
Now, who cares about the CCW guy? He is not charged and likely wont be, he likely can articulate that he had a reasonable fear that the OC guy was a threat ( whether true or not...) given the recent incidents.
So, the law, regarding OC and the action of the CCW guy, is one their side. The law may also be on the OC guys side regarding the felony in the 2nd degree charge of communicating a terroristic threat.... especially if the case is heard in a year or so...
If the OC either dismissed or acquitted, then the CCW guy may find himself, along with others, in a serious lawsuit over the whole of the incident, Wally World for causing the panic response, the CCW guy for civil issues even f the PA never charges ( and he won’t). The govt folks will hide behind QI as usual.
Wh9 got arrested? The çcw guy or the rifle carrying guy?
