The British socialite at the centre of the Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal told friends in recent weeks that she planned to “totally disappear”.
Ghislaine Maxwell said she was "knocked for six" after lurid allegations resurfaced about her dealings with the paedophile billionaire, a source told the Telegraph...
A source close to her said: "Ghislaine thought this was all dead and buried when the case was settled in 2017. So she was knocked for six when the Epstein stuff raised its ugly head again.
"She told everyone that it was just a rehash of the same old nonsense.
"She said that she planned to totally disappear and not say anything. Since then people haven't heard anything from her at all."...
Miss Maxwell has not been in contact with her London lawyers in recent weeks, it is understood. Neighbours at her homes in London and Salisbury said she had not been seen for a number of weeks...
The documents released last week detail how Ross Gow, who at the time worked for Acuity Representation, sent statements to British newspapers and the BBC on Miss Maxwell’s behalf, stating that the allegations implicating her in the scandal were wrong.
At the time, he also said: “The original allegations are not new and have been fully responded to and shown to be untrue.
“Each time the story is retold it changes, with new salacious details about public figures.
"Ghislaine Maxwell’s original response to the lies and defamatory claims remains the same."
He referred journalists to a 2011 statement in which Miss Maxwell said the allegations against her were “abhorrent”.
That statement was issued by her London-based legal firm Devonshires Solicitors. It vowed to clear Miss Maxwell’s name.

News reports make her look like the linchpin of the Epstein operation. If so, she could know almost as much as he did. With what happened to Epstein, she’d be smart to disappear as far as humanly possible.
She will never be found, just like Jimmy Hoffa.

Chances are "they" will get to you no matter where you are on the surface of this planet. You can run but you can't hide. Epstein was in a 10ft square cell on suicide watch and he died.
