That has pretty much been clarified on this thread. You don’t need much height to asphyxiate yourself and he was taken off of suicide watch a week ago so ... regular sheets.
That’s what all the media says now.
Why hasn’t Bob Barr resigned yet?
“Well, its not like he was the most high profile prisoner in the world at the time in the most high profile Federal case at the time. Who would expect any extra care be taken to keep him secure and alive? /s”
Yep, nothing special about him, just a routine, run of the mill prisoner who just has the goods to BRING DOWN AN ENTIRE POLITICAL PARTY, possibly both parties.
Naa, by the book, dude, 10 days and then who cares? No different than a Mary Jane user there.
In case you were even slightly facetious about “only one person thinks of suicide every ten years” there, and I wouldn’t blame you a bit if you were, there is a reason for the low suicide rate at MCC.
It is a holding facility for people awaiting trial not a prison for convicts. They’re not sitting there thinking “My life is over, I’ll be here for twenty years.” They’re thinking “How am I going to beat this rap? Is my lawyer any good?”
Everyone there knows they will get out of MCC (if they don’t get whacked) and is hoping they won’t be convicted. However bad their chances are.
CHRIS TUCKER? NO F WAY, IS THIS TRUE??
Yes, his name is repeatedly on the Lolita flight logs.
I was being silly, but still, Epstein had a lot to bargain with, so I do have trouble thinking he would be in such a hurry to kill himself. Why not wait until he better knows what he’s facing? Just doesn’t add up.
I thought so but the way you put it is the way I would have put if I were being facetious and without understanding that it’s a short term facility, where no one has yet been convicted, one suicide attempt per decade would sound incredible.
And, yes, Epstein had a lot to bargain with. He had also been cut a sweet deal in the past. I would expect him to have hoped against hope to get another one, not check out before the bargaining had even begun.
If this is a temporary holding place for those not yet convicted, I’m wondering why Nicholas Tartaglione was reported to be an inmate there?

Nicholas Tartaglione is an ex-police officer. He is a convicted felon who reportedly killed four men as part of a cocaine conspiracy. He is a convicted felon who reportedly killed four men as part of a cocaine conspiracy.
"Most prisoners held at MCC New York have pending cases in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. MCC New York also holds prisoners serving brief sentences."
Was he recently convicted? Maybe he was awaiting transfer to a more permanent prison?
Who Is Nicholas Tartaglione (Ex-Cop Facing Death Penalty)Tartaglione was assaulted at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, where he has been held since his arrest, on February 28, 2018 and his lawyer said he suffered a fractured eye-socket bone which needed reconstructive surgery.
Tartaglione Could Be the 1st Person Executed on Federal Crimes in New York Since 1953. This is after it was announced in March 2019 that prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against him.
From a March 19 article: “The feds will seek the death penalty against a former muscle-bound Westchester County cop accused of killing four men over a cocaine deal.
The decision to seek capital punishment against Nicholas Tartaglione was made by U.S. Attorney General William Barr.”
July 2019: “Tartaglione... was in SHU because earlier this month correction officers found a cellphone in his cell in general population.”
The former NY police officer just happened to work in Chappaqua, NY near Bill Clinton's residence.
Probably a coincidence...
Clinton cotton sheet 800 thread count....
