“Well, it’s not like he was the most high profile prisoner in the world at the time in the most high profile Federal case at the time. Who would expect any extra care be taken to keep him secure and alive? /s”

Yep, nothing special about him, just a routine, run of the mill prisoner who just has the goods to BRING DOWN AN ENTIRE POLITICAL PARTY, possibly both parties.

Naa, by the book, dude, 10 days and then who cares? No different than a Mary Jane user there.

In case you were even slightly facetious about “only one person thinks of suicide every ten years” there, and I wouldn’t blame you a bit if you were, there is a reason for the low suicide rate at MCC.

It is a holding facility for people awaiting trial not a prison for convicts. They’re not sitting there thinking “My life is over, I’ll be here for twenty years.” They’re thinking “How am I going to beat this rap? Is my lawyer any good?”

Everyone there knows they will get out of MCC (if they don’t get whacked) and is hoping they won’t be convicted. However bad their chances are.
