More than 330 miles of new "border wall capability" will be in place by the end of 2020, U.S. Border Patrol Chief Carla Provost said Monday, noting that repairs to the wall in the San Diego area bring the current total to "57 miles that we have put in."
An additional 47 miles is under contract. Provost told Fox News' "Fox and Friends."

The Administration is making serious efforts to transform the hard problems, that have been kicked down the road for a long time.
The loss of our industrial base, tax reform, trade deals, the rise of the communist leviathan in China, the Iranian nuclear program, reforming a corrupt bureaucracy, illegal immigration - even an Arab-Israeli peace deal. Juggling a lot of balls.
In the case of border security in general, and the wall program in particular, I could argue strongly that the Trump effort is about as far from “half-assed” as you could get. We are fortunate to have a world class builder in charge of the effort, and a man who is renown for making his subordinates produce (or they’re Fired!).
He has really made it happen - damn few people could have.
I mentioned earlier what could have been done on the wall on Jan 21, 2017. And all he had to do was hire an AG who would take the charges in the comey report and indict hillary, a woman he called Criminal a few hundred times and riled up the crowd to chant Lock her Up! while he smiled and pumped his fist.
There is a SERIOUS effort.

I am not an attorney, and don’t have a lot of the facts, to make an informed judgement on how hard that would be, or if it would be the best course of action in the long run. Undoubtedly, much is highly classified, because the Secretary of State inherently operates within some of the most classified realms within the US Government.
But when it comes to management of a large Federal Program, largely in the unclassified public domain, I feel much more confident in expressing an evaluation. I will say it again - I think that what the Administration has achieved with their Wall Program ha been positively masterful.
There is going to a rain of contract awards, miles constructed, and segments completed between now and the election. It is going to be a wonder to behold.
