HBO talk show host Bill Maher has once again expressed his desire to see the United States fall into an economic recession in the coming year, arguing it would reduce the chances of President Donald Trump winning the 2020 presidential election.
“I’m not wishing for a recession, but if the farmers want to keep touching the hot stove,” said commentator Tom Nichols on the issue of Trump’s trade policies, before Maher interjected.
Well, you should be,” said Bill Maher. “Because that will definitely get him unelected.”
“But Bill, you don’t really want a recession,” argued Anthony Scaramucci, Trump’s former White House communication director.
“I really do,” Maher responded. “We have survived many recessions. We can’t survive another Donald Trump term.”

With all the economlandmines Obama and the Democrats built, even if one goes off and the world economy crumbles Trump has my vote. He has earned it.
By “can’t survive” I think he means that as normal peoples’ lives improve, the whining envious attitudes of the left are revealed to be lies, and won’t survive.

Without an economic downturn Trump is a lock for a second term. He probably wins in any case.
Yeah, everybody having jobs in a booming economy with lower taxes is a terrible thing. It was much better under Obama when I was taxed to death to provide for half the country that was on welfare.

I went from unemployed but deep in student loan debt from a degree O’Vomit told us we had to get, to gainfully employed four months after President Trump took over. You want another recession that will plunge me and my family into unemployment? You want millions of Americans unemployed? Seems to me I’m doing better than I was since 2009 when O’Vomit showed up.
