FERGUSON, Mo. It has been five years since Michael Brown was shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson. In that time, Ferguson has grown as a city. The mayor has said he doesnt want the anniversary to reopen any scabs. Instead, he hopes the city will continue toward growing stronger together.
As Fox 2s Katherine Hessel reports, there are several events planned for the anniversary in Ferguson and across St. Louis County.

I hear you.
Actually, they found that the vast majority of those arrested for rioting in Ferguson were not from Ferguson, and were not really his homies.
I always wondered about that. Some guys from as far away as LA, traveled to Ferguson to participate in a riot. Who paid them, who recruited them, has never been explored by the media. Who wanted to stir things up and use the Michael Brown shooting as an excuse has also never been explored.
Who?
-sniff- he would have finished his degree and been half way through his masters by now! - sniff sniff -
Yep, America is dead. We just haven’t gotten the bill yet. It’s coming though.
The Africanization of Missouri will not be denied
There can be no African guilty of crime
LOL! I would like so see the crime statistics of before and after Mikey got snuffed.
Celebrate thug culture!
I trust they have a seminar on how to have stable, 2 parent homes to raise children.
So.. are they going to burn their town again?
When Law and Order died.....
I recall that Holder’s Justice Department was very critical of the Ferguson PD’s releasing of the store video since it seemed to conflict with the innocence of the Gentle Giant narrative. And the GG’s juvenile record remains sealed.
How about a who-can-grab-a-gun-from-a-cop contest? That would be entertaining!
How many blacks have been killed by other blacks since Michael Brown died?
Yup. Now we celebrate thugs and demean cops. We truly live in upside down world. The whole hands up dont shoot thing has been proven false many times but the left just keeps on celebrating St gentle giant along with St Trayvon and a myriad of others
The Michael Brown story always brings me back to my commie conspiracy theory that this sort of unrest is fostered by outside influences bent on destroying the unity of this country. If the Michael Brown story had been what we were originally told it was - an innocent guy walking in the street is harassed by a cop and killed needlessly - then everybody would have joined together in condemnation of the act. However, it always turns out to be just like what this was. The dude was not innocent, had just robbed a convenience store, and then bum-rushed a cop. Now it is all about disunity, as blacks choose to believe the original false narrative, and everybody else who is not a leftist sees that Brown brought it all on himself.
The same script was followed with Trayvon Martin. The original narrative - angelic child murdered by overly enthusiastic racist neighborhood watch member - turned out to be in reality - neighborhood watch guy fends off attack from teen thug by using his concealed weapon.
All of these stories are chosen because they are guaranteed to divide people, which is the goal of whomever is bankrolling this (Soros?).
Keep the rage mob stirred up.
More free TVs!
Community events include assaulting shop owners and charging at cops however signing up for junior college courses was cancelled.
He was a thug.
