After every mass shooting we replay the same unhelpful loop
Fox News.com ^ | August 5, 2019 | Steve Hilton

Every time there's one of these terrible mass murders, we seem to replay the same loop tape. One side screams about the NRA and accuses half the country of having blood on its hands. And then the other half hits back and says, “you don't understand the issue, and you don't understand us.”

That's not going to get us anywhere. Of course, we're not going to solve the problem in a few minutes on “The Next Revolution,” either. But just because you can't solve everything, doesn't mean you can't do anything.

It seems to me that one thing most people do agree on is that these murders are carried out by sick, evil individuals who absolutely should not have access to guns.

Stay out of crowds.

We do not have a gun problem, we do have a mental health problem. We need more people with concealed carry permits. Many lives could be saved if the states would make it easier for law abiding citizens to obtain a concealed carry permit after a reasonable background check. If one good guy with a gun had been available at any of these multiple shootings, many lives could have been saved. As it is, politicians make the average law biding citizens easy prey for the mentally ill person intent on murdering people. It is long past time for citizens to demand that politicians respect the right to protect themselves and their families as provided under the 2nd Amendment.

Maybe gun store owners should voluntarily bar sales to persons under 25 of age, unless in the company of another person.

Most of the killers are loners under age 25.

Tone down the hypersexualization of our society.

Quit focusing on just attractive people. Not every guy is going to get Britney Spears. Not every girl is going to get Justin Bieber. There’s a lot of love to be found with people who aren’t stars.

Lock up the nuts. Bring back the asylums. The nuts are crapping on the sidewalks and killing people. One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest is FICTION! It’s not real.

Get away from Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Yeah, they have lots of stuff. Didn’t help Robin Williams. Again, there’s a lot of love to be found in a 1500 square foot house and a Chevy car.

“Most of the killers are loners under age 25.”

You’re not necessarily wrong regarding the recent “mass shootings”, but you left out a demographic point for shootings in general.

This is what happens when you let mass-murdering lunatics set national policy.

These four things are all linked to the Press and our entertainment industry.

That’s where to go to solve this mass murder stuff.

A major problem is copycats.

Maybe body counts should not be mentioned by the media, only “the suspect was taken into custody” or “the suspect was quickly shot dead by law enforcement”.

These shootings are commonly made to order by the news media.

“concealed carry permit”

“Dirty Harry” style shooting range testing for discretion and accuracy comes to mind.

Steve Hilton shows once again that people in big cities full of new arrivals just don’t understand the problem. Go to the root of the mental problems. Analyze each son and his mother. Look at the son’s peers and his school culture. Find out about the promiscuity, the drugs and the political hatred against traditional (conservative) family structure and healthier relations.

It’s a moral problem and needs a societal admission that we took a further wrong turn about 50 years ago.

Steve Hilton wants red flag laws, by the way. He wants people to be deprived of their rights by criminal libertines who make false accusations.

The Super Walmarts in my area all have them - and some are hired security guard types on the fringes of certain areas that would be racist and hateful to describe...One of the security guards is a Black woman who flirts with me - either old (but fit) and bald really are the new sexy....or she feels sorry for me and wants to boost my day...
