Pres. Donald Trump called for a national Red Flag law on Monday morning after two weekend mass shootings. A similar law, or or Extreme Risk Protective Order, was signed into law by Colorado Gov. Jared Polis earlier this year.

If Trump calls for this to become law, then I have no one to vote for in 2020. And so will a lot more just walk away.

There are Antifa pages on Facebook. I suspect that every county has a chapter. Mine does. I heard a guy say he got crosswise with Antifa in Powers, Oregon. A tiny, backwater logging town.
The Internet is an incredibly powerful weapon of organization and communication with this bunch.
What if they have regular cops enforce it? Immediate threat, and all that.
So if someone does not like someone and calls in a fake report the person has property seized without due process and is guilty until he proves he is innocent.

There have been about 450 Red Flag orders issued under the Florida law. There have been "about a dozen" orders in Massachusetts - exact counts are not being widely reported.
No such orders have been issued (yet) in Colorado.
I have not found information from other States.

You are an idiot, if you think PTSD/TBI is a gravy train grab your balls and go to war. There are fakers they make up 10% at the very most. We saw the fakers we knew who they were, we tolerated them to advance the care of those who were damaged. We knew the system would give them a pass and many have since been weeded out as treatment has advanced.
If they identify mentally ill, even placing some in institutions to keep guns out of their hands, it might end up as good legislation. I can at least wait to read it before deciding the orange man is bad.

Exactly what were the red flags in the recent shootings?
As far as I know, there were no red flags, so Trump’s response is totally unjustified.
If the media simply refused to report on shootings, very few would occur after a period of time.
I haven’t looked up the statue yet. I had looked up the one in MD though. On that one, cops are allowed to be the ones to file the complaint. Also, it is handled in family court, like divorces, so the case is kept private.
So the state can seize guns in secret courts in cases initiated by state actors.
If the cops are ever called to a location for any reason, don’t like the way you act, and find out you have guns, kiss your guns bye bye in within 24 hours.

WHEN THE REDCOATS CONFISCATED GUNS..
Any bill that doesn’t limit the annual count to a small percentage (say .001%) of a state’s gun owners (as computed by the number of a state’s residents who have passed a governmental background check) in total will be very, very bad.
Any bill that doesn’t provide for up to $50,000 in appropriate attorney and psychiatric fees with respect to any person impacted by the law would be very, very bad.
Any bill that doesn’t provide for automatic individual appeal rights all the way to the federal appellate court level would be very, very bad.
Any bill that doesn’t provide for at least full market price compensation based on documented multiple professional appraisals for seized weapons would be very, very bad.
That being said, I know of no red flags with respect to recent shootings.
