I don’t think the commie red flag law for Colorado takes effect for a year. Several Sheriffs said they could not enforce it. It violates about 4 constitutional rights including due process.

They know that can’t do a wholesales registry and confiscation, so they will try the incremental approach.
Of course it all depends on who decides and we all know that the deep state agencies will do everything to call the shots. We will then have a very elastic definitions of who could harm themselves or others.
The FBI would consider anyone espousing what they consider to be conspiracy theories as dangerous thus justifying confiscation. They will troll through social media and solicit “help” from leftist activists that probably in many cases be paid to send in bogus information. Psychiatrists have quite a bit of flexibility in declaring that someone has a mental disorder, and that’s because the classification of mental disorders is often based on symptom reporting (but also on some cases abnormal observed behaviors) and not a definitive or objective study demonstrating pathology like most other diseases.

The law also permits anonymous complaints and concealment of identity for the complaining party.
There are no objective basis in law for appealing Red Flag orders and they can be renewed each year after review. It is up to the whims of the judge.
That is similar to Red Flag laws that have been passed in other States.
The purpose of these laws is to enable Government officials to forcibly disarm anyone they do not like. "Public Safety" is the cover lie used to justify these measures.
