President Trump Demands the Death Penalty For Mass Shooters,

Speaking from the White House Monday morning with Vice President Mike Pence by his side, President Donald Trump addressed the nation and responded to two mass shootings that took place over the weekend. Dozens of people were killed and severely wounded in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas.

"These barbaric slaughters are an assault upon our communities, an attack on our nation and a crime against all humanity. We are outraged by this monstrous evil, the cruelty, the malice, bloodshed and the terror. Our hearts are shattered for every family whose parents, children, husbands and wives were ripped from their arms and their lives. America weeps for the fallen. We are a loving nation and our children are entitled to grow up in a just, peaceful and loving society," Trump said, calling law enforcement who responded to the shootings American heroes. "Together we lock arms to shoulder the grief. We ask God in heaven to ease the anguish of those who suffer and we vow to act with urgent resolve."

"In one voice our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy," he continued. "These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America."

President Trump called for action to solve mass shootings and urged Congress to put partisanship aside to come up with solutions.

"Now is the time to set destructive partisanship aside," Trump said. "Our future is in our control. America will always rise to the challenge....it is not up to mentally ill monsters, it is up to us."

"Mental illness and hatred pulls the trigger, not the gun...I am open and ready to listen and discuss all ideas that will actually work and make a very big difference," he continued.

President Trump gave a detailed outline of what the White House is doing in the meantime to solve this problem.

"The internet has provided a dangerous avenue to radicalize disturbed minds and perform demented acts. We must shine light on the dark recesses of the internet and stop mass murders before they start," he said, directing Attorney General Bill Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray to fully investigate.

President Trump also urged social media companies to develop tools to detect mass shooters and advocated for a death penalty against mass shooters that is delivered "quickly and decisively."

President Trump also sent his condolences to the Mexican government after a number of citizens were killed in El Paso.

The flags at the White House have been lowered to half-staff and will remain there until Thursday in honor of the victims.

You can watch the President's full remarks below.

We’re talking about ENACTING a Federal statute.

One that is not on the books now.

I am sick of seeing murderers basically get off. I think they should be tried and if found guilty get one covers all appeal and if turned down, executed immediately, everything all accomplished within one year of the charges. This crap of going years and years and spending multi-millions of tax payer dollars on these trials, appeal after endless appeal, needs to STOP!!! I am tired of everyone being worried about the murder’s RIGHTS!!! To hell with his rights. His RIGHTS ended with the murder(s)!!! The stinking Dimocrats want to let all felons vote. I suppose they want all murderers released after 5 years, no death penalty, yada, yada.

I am still 100% behind PDJT.

China crap, market tanking, our tariffs, still behind him.

I don’t however believe he has handled the shootings well; he took his daughter’s position on white nationalism. Bull crap.

Disappointing.

I would have liked seeing him tweet their voting records, their support for Democrat candidates.

Three years from arrest to execution or acquittal.

We’re talking about ENACTING a Federal statute.

For what? Murder that is a state matter? Any other amendments you want to do away with other than the 10th?

(I will NOT mention the swine’s name.)

“You can’t legislate morality.”

Of course you can, and we have. As has every society and civilization; every single law on the books is some form of moral belief given the force of civil authority.

At this point in time in the United States of America, there is no Justice System. And it has been that way at least since the Clinton Administration.

There is however a Legal System and it functions very efficiently. It consists of two separate standards: One System for the Elite, Royalty, the Blue Bloods, and the powerful. The other system is for the serf and peasants. The Elites do as they please. The serfs do as they are told.

Were they here on Vacation?

Great line.

Thus, if someone were blindfolded and led into the middle of a Wal Mart in Texas, and let go to tag as many people as he could, he would catch dozens of Mexican illegals living on welfare? Could save ICE and Homeland Security and the IRS a lot of staff money.

I don’t ADVOCATE for a Federal law against murder within State jurisdiction.

I was just commenting on how it could be done.

I like the idea of super-fast justice, but I really worry about the potential to put innocent people to death.

Personally, I’d rather take the time and spend the money, as aggravating as it is, than increase the likelihood of more innocents being killed.

Federal death penalty for what? These murders are a state crime and I believe both Ohio and Texas have the death penalty on the books. I’m sure that Texas is more than capable of executing the murderer from El Paso. As for Ohio, the police took care of that.
.
.

Exactly. Screw this federal crap and I’m sure the feds will equally apply this to mass shooters right? Yea...lol
How many gang bangers have shot more than three people? Many.

I think when you capture the guy red handed, we don’t have to worry about innocent people. Really, how many people have been executed that have later been found to have not committed the crime?? Probably no more than one or two in all of US history, if those? I have never heard of one. But, if they have the trial, with witnesses, and the Bible says two or more witnesses, and they say he did it, then what else do we need? Mainly, it is 50 appeals on stuff the lawyers drag up. They try everything that has ever been tried before and if one fails, bring in another and it repeats 75 times. Have them all brought up at the one time. Simple as that.
