No, The United States Doesn’t Lead The World in Mass Shootings
pjmedia.com ^ | 8/4/2019 | Matt Margolis

As expected, Democrats immediately began politicizing the shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. Quite a few of them even blamed Trump. Like clockwork, calls for more gun control have commenced. Democrats are even trying to pressure Mitch McConnell to cancel the Senate recess so they can vote on gun control.

A common myth you can expect to hear a lot in the coming days and weeks is that the United States “leads the world in mass shootings” and therefore we must pass some law that will do nothing to stop future mass shootings, but will infringe on the rights of law-abiding gun owners.

What you might not hear is that this claim is completely bogus.

The facts are the facts but the loonytune, psychotic left doesn’t care about facts if they conflict with the liberal agenda.

Tim Scott needs to be primaried for his knee jerk support for gun control. The question is whether white challengers will tarred as racist.

If you want to see real hysterical, irrational, uncontrolled anger, just look at the face of Cummings and, indeed

ALL OF THE SCREAMING MIMIS ON THE DEBATE STAGE TWO NIGHTS LAST WEEK.

That kind of anger can be contagious.
I do not remember ever seeing President Trump even half as angry as they, although he was given reason to by those same obsessed presidential candidates.

I’m going to be real clear here: I have used violence but only in defense of myself or others.

I happen to be real good at it even at my age. Very good. A deep knowledge of anatomy comes in handy sometimes. Also 20 years of training including with Marines and SEALs didn’t hurt. (I didn’t serve. They did and sparred with me. I usually lost but not always. Note: a Marine combat instructor can hit you like a freight train. And don’t even bother asking me about how a SEAL can wreck you. Was usually more than a little humiliating.)

Try to take my guns, I will consider that as violence against me and mine. I don’t care what uniform they are wearing and what (unconstitutional) law is involved. I will respond accordingly you leftist pukes. As will many others I know - including the guys who kicked my ### during sparring.

The shootings in Texas and Ohio were the 21st and 22nd mass killings of 2019 in the U.S., according to the AP/USA Today/Northeastern University mass murder database that tracks homicides where four or more people killed — not including the offender.
Including the two latest attacks, 125 people had been killed in the 2019 shootings...

yet much of the FakeNewsMSM is reporting “292 mass shootings” this year & this figure is being reported by some of the Australian media too!

5 Aug: Quartz: The 292 mass shootings in the US so far this year, mapped
By Katherine Ellen Foley
As of today (Aug. 4), we are 216 days into 2019. In the US over that time, more than 1,300 people have been injured or killed in mass shootings, according to data collected by the Gun Violence Archive.
The nonprofit organization, which is based in Washington, DC, defines a mass shooting as an event in which at least four people were shot. By its calculations, that means there have been some 292 mass shootings in the US since the year began...
The high rate of gun ownership and the spread of white nationalism and anti-immigrant sentiment are largely blamed for fueling the unprecedented number of mass shootings in the US...

4 Aug: AP: The Latest: Suspect’s grandparents say they’re ‘devastated’
4:30 p.m.
Mexico’s foreign minister says the country plans to take legal action against whoever sold the gun to the man suspected of killing at least 20 people and wounding more than two dozen others in El Paso, Texas...
Gun ownership is highly restricted in Mexico, requiring special permits, and gun shops are rare. The average Mexican has trouble legally acquiring a handgun, much less an assault weapon.
Ebrard also called Saturday’s shooting “a terrorist act” against Mexicans and urged the U.S. government to “set a clear position against hate crimes.”
3:10 p.m.
Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador says the number of Mexicans killed in the shooting in the border city of El Paso, Texas, has risen to six...
López Obrador also says that the events in Texas reaffirm his conviction that “social problems shouldn’t be confronted with the use of force and by inciting hate.”
12:20 p.m.
Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said Mexico would take legal action to protect Mexicans and Americans of Mexican descent after the shooting in El Paso, Texas...
Next, he said, Mexico plans to seek legal measures to protect Mexican nationals and Mexican-Americans in the U.S...

Wrong!

It's a matter of perception.

Perception is created by screaming the loudest and screaming often enough for people to begin to believe it, and at that point, it becomes 'reality'.

Democrats have the media, about 90% of it. And the have the loudest voices in congress and in Hollywood and just about everywhere. What they say loud and often wins the argument for them, at least with the uninformed who can't be bothered to do their own research. But those uninformed are a huge part of the population, and they're winning the argument. And inch here and an inch there, and they end up passing a bill here and a bill there, and eventually, they end up winning the argument, not only perception-wise, but in societal and legislative terms.

We might be on the right side of the argument, but, who says being right wins all the time?

Redundant might as well be my middle name, but here goes. Gun free zones get people killed. Period. If it’s a gun free zone I don’t go there. I allow for the county courthouse if I have to go there. I pay my property tax by mail. I have a CWP, I dress to carry concealed year around. I carry insurance in case I have to use my firearm. I watch for oddball behaviors in people and avoid them. I stay out of saloons and bad neighborhoods. I arm up as I dress every morning, I wish everyone did. Less mischief that way. These azzholes pick a place where they are the only one armed if they can. They’re not there for a fight, they are there to be the alpha. They are bullshitz and I won’t go down without a fight. However, that’s just me.
