When the first candidate announces that, henceforth, they will be campaigning unarmed, and that they are completely ditching any and all armed protection (including police protection) around themselves, then maybe I’ll listen to what they have to say. You know how the old expression goes: “Put your money where your mouth is.”
The loudest posts I’ve been seeing this morning (especially after the second, Ohio shooting), are along the lines of: “F**K gun control laws! No more half-measures! We need confiscation! NO ONE should have guns other than military and specially-trained, elite police units! Just like Australia and the UK!”

This Walmart incident was a terrible tragedy, compounded by the fact that nobody in that store was carrying anything to defend themselves and others with. And a gun culture such as we have in America thanks to our beloved Constitution, we need to learn that you have to protect yourselves and you have to be situationally aware, it’s just the way it’s going to have to be and once people start shooting back and these shooters start dying off in their attempts, the urge to go out and shoot something to pieces is it going to wane.
Predatory behaviours do not really need firearms, predators only really need victims.

The reaction of this shooter, likely a crazy from majority white society, is to the hate filled public rhetoric of liberal fascist democrats. Witness ANTIFA for example.
And the insane are the first to shuffle off the edge of civil society, and lash out senselessly at anyone. So now we have leftist political; fodder to politicize who take advantage of mass murder,making another liberal fascist talking point to go against the 2nd amendment? Let them try.
The fact is clear. The authorities cannot keep anyone “safe” against insanity, whether it comes from a lefty shooter firing onto a baseball diamond full of Congressmen in Washington, or a nut case firing on defenseless civilians in a Walmart shopping mall in Texas.
Citizens have to be able to effectively defend themselves against the insane, who historically were released onto the public streets, thanks to democrat policies, closing mental health facilities across the USA.Many live on the streets as home-less people. Many of these crazy shooters over the last few years clearly should have been institutionalized, instead of freely roaming the streets of America, manifesting as demons.As long as that is allowed, we will have mass shootings, and so now American citizens must face the fact that they must encourage private citizens to arm themselves and carry personal defense firearms.
Being armed is the only remedy available, as long as we continue to treat mental illness as lightly as we do according to lefty policies. Why should a whole society live in fear because a population of crazy people are allowed to roam our streets?
The 2nd amendment is not going away anywhere and people will rely on it as they must. America will not give up its freedom at the hands of a puling crowd of leftists like Beto , who would turn Americans into a large herd of passive sheep, entirely dependent on politicians like Beto or worse.

I was thinking the same thing. Had a licensed conceal and carry person been in his vicinity, the response time would have been seconds instead of six minutes, which is the time it took for the police to respond. If you C & C, you should carry wherever you can legally. Always be prepared. The life you save could be your own, but it might be all the innocents that are not armed.
Look, folks, The Gilroy, California Garlic Festival slaughter of innocents, the El Paso, Texas (Walmart) slaughter of innocents and the Dayton, Ohio (Oregon Entertainment Center) slaughter of innocents has nothing to do with illegal aliens and illegal immigration...period.
Folks walking around a summer “Garlic” festival, or a nighttime entertainment spot in Dayton, Ohio or, a morning shopping spree in a “Walmart Shopping Center” have nothing to do with hate of illegal immigration or illegal aliens in the USA.
