Kamala Harris gave details about her gun control proposals in the wake of the deadly El Paso, Texas shooting after she addressed union members at the AFSCME forum at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Saturday.
... I was attorney general [of California], and we put resources into allowing law enforcement to actually knock on the doors of people who were on two lists a list where they had been found by a court to be a danger to themselves and others.

Yes, you’re wrong.
The reality of the situation is, there are millions of those nasty “Assault Rifles” in the hands of millions of Americans. There are already millions of citizens who own millions of “banned” firearms across the nation who have not “obeyed” the powers that be regardless of the consequences.
How many turned in their banned weapons? (Relatively few)
How many decided to simply ignore the ban when it affected them personally? (The overwhelming majority).
Now, considering the above, why hasn’t the local government gone after these “scofflaws”?
That brinkmanship is going to bite them in the asp.
I believe it will violate the US Constitution. Unreasonable Search and Seizure. Mr. Brown’s Lover, you better come with a search warrant, because I have rights to own guns...
Kamala Harris willing to send cops to people’s homes to confiscate banned firearms.
Mush have been how she got rid of the MS 13 and the other 61 gangs in Los Angeles.
But she would not want to send law enforcement to people’s doors to round up illegal aliens?
Her prospects for higher office died in the last debate, what she has to say is no longer an issue, and it never should have been.
I doubt there's millions. Maybe a few hundred thousand TOPS in the handful of states where they're banned. They haven't been rounded up because there isn't a serious priority in law enforcement to do so. They will change when the orders are given.
When a man has to choose between his wife, his children, his home, and his livelihood or his AR-15, you'll see.
I have not seen any evidence that will convince me differently. Meekness is epidemic among conservatives. We talk a great game but could learn something about mettle from Antifa who are out there in the streets, punching people in their faces. They walk the walk.

I lived in CA.
I owned an AK-47 and had 30 Round Magazines and a Bayonet.
CA decided it was an evil Assault Weapon and must be Registered.
I complied.
Later on I decided I didn’t like being on “the list”, so I sold it to an out of State Buyer (and made a tidy profit).
Then I went out and bought a “CA Legal” AR-15.
Then the CA Politicos decided that my “CA Legal” AR-15 was no longer CA Legal.
I moved to MS.
The number is 75 to 90 million. based on the component manufactures it is way higher.
If 5% of population resist her storm troopers you have 16+ million in rebellion and if-if they are taken into custody where is she gonna put them. If 1% resist you have 3+ million in rebellion. If these resist violently you have a civil war. Many cops will obey and kill their fellow citizens, many will stand down. The problem is when you push otherwise peaceful, county loving citizens into active armed resistance and worse you kill them or their families in you goonish raids how does a man or woman punished for the acts of others just stop without finishing off those who attacked them and their families? Libs are about to light a fuse and the explosive results as a result, they have no clue. In rebellion the first shot is the hardest, after that you have no choice but to finish it and the rest are easier. I pray the liberals are not that stupid but like 1861, they may force war upon us again.
This would be the first time in American history that millions of people would overwhelm the Secret Service to do harm to a President.
You think I'm waiting for an arrest???!?
That are at this very moment banned and subject to mandatory surrender?
[[if they are taken into custody where is she gonna put them.]]
Why down along the border in the ‘concentration camps’ of course-
the AK and the AR are no more dangerous than any other semi automatic gun- their looks do NOT make them more deadly, more dangerous, more effective- A Person can fire a semi automatic pistol just as fast as they can fire one of those- This whole nonsense about them being ‘assault rifles’ is a lie- The legal definition of assault rifle is a dual fire gun- one that fires semi automatic, or single, and also automatic- assault rifles are selective fire weapons meant for war- semi automatics are not assault rifles no matter what they look like-
a Folding stock doesn’t make them more deadly, a silencer does not make them more deadly on impact, a tactical light does not make them more deadly, folding rests don’t make them more deadly- a barrel shroud doesn’t make them more deadly- none of those make them any more deadly than any other gun- they don’t make them more accurate- they don’t make them faster than any other semi automatic-
Yet, if democrats ever regain power- the first thing they are going to do is ban these guns, THEN go after EVERY type of semi automatic gun, both rifle and pistol- all because a tiny minority of sick people do sick things-
They are telling us what they want to do.
You are preaching to the Choir Bob.
I was given my first Rifles when I was eight years old, a Bolt Action .22 Rifle and a Single Shot .410 Shotgun.
Of course that was when you could buy Firearms via the U.S. Mail, including War Surplus Anti-tank Rifles.
I am now 66 Years Old and my Gun Collection has grown.
In the last 58 Years it never crossed my mind to Murder Innocent People using my Firearms.
We recently moved to the Free State of MS from CA. I never leave the House without one of my Handguns.
Remember, an Armed Society is a Polite Society, and everyone I meet here is very Polite.
