NORAD says a third small single-engine aircraft was flying into a current "no-fly" zone as President Donald Trump visits New Jersey this weekend.
Reports say fighter jets forced the plane to land at Central Jersey Regional Airport.

Probing the defense...
I hope they took names.
Pilots of small planes cannot hide easily. The new transponders automatically send the aircraft ID constantly, and if you fly with it off, especially in the NYC area, and especially/especially near a “TFR” (Temporary FLight Restrictions - Potus/VP), you are in a heap of hot water.
Other reasons for having a flurry of busting these airspaces, some non-nefarious - for example, if the TFR is put with very little pre-notice, some pilots may launch without knowing.
A bunch of years ago this happened to me... I busted Biden’s safe-space on the MA cape. It was a very confusing set of small airspace circles, with different effective times. Biden didn’t even fly in... he was being driven and moving around the cape. I was greeted at Race Point with some black cars, a slap on the wrist, but given permission to depart after a normal tourist-visit. But, the paperwork continued for about 2 years after that.

Not a deterrent.
With the nice weather you have General Aviation pilots out who do not fly often. They are probably not use to the TFR and making a human error. It happens.
Could have been misunderstandings. There are two small airports close to where the president stays.
That is how I see it.
Those TFRs are hard to keep up with. I got emails when a TFR was set up for Obama visit. Once got nailed cause I flew into a TFR that only existed when the Mariners were playing at home. a 5 mile around the stadium.. Not a baseball fan so did not keep up with their schedule. No email on that one.

“When Trump is staying at his golf course in Somerset County, the two nearest airports - Somerset Airport in Bedminster and Solberg Airport in Readington - are shut down completely.”

I am too far out of the saddle to even get a briefing, but the day I do get back in it, I will take the training to do so. Today with EFIS's in a lot of Homebuilts and even Certified, my guess is you could get the latest and greatest right in front of you before pre-flight or even while taxing, this info has got to be right at your fingertips. Even with that said, local EAA chapters, AOPA often send out notices or you prolly can find them on AOPA's website. How far into the TFR was he is the question. Did he try to go around it and miss some waypoints, or was this totally not doing his homework....

True, not to a committed terrorist, errr Leftist.
They will jihad just like their good friends.
Witness the dead guy who attacked the Ice facility.
And it’s Saturday morning...
Pilot will get lots of mail from the government now.
I live within the TFR airspace for Trump National in Bedminster. I dont know why anyone in the media would make a big deal about these aircraft incursions. I have seen military jets chasing small private planes out of this airspace at least half the times Trump has been up here after his inauguration. For some reason these incidents usually take place on the Saturday mornings of his weekend visits.
These days, if you are armed with an Ipad and foreflight (or equivalent), you never bust a TFR. Never... Actually, that was the words of wisdom given to me at my FAA “hearing”. I used a “get out of jail free” NASA form for that one, and have been armed with Foreflight ever since.
Naturally, prime $200 hamburger (or eggs on toast, as the case may be) time.
The TFR was announced with plenty of time... this is a case of weekend warriors not flight planning properly. And it will sting a little.
“Naturally, prime $200 hamburger (or eggs on toast, as the case may be) time.”
Way back in the day when I began flying it used to be a $50 hamburger.
I live on a private airpark about an hour north of Mar-a-Lago,
We get NOTAMS of TFR whenever The Donald is coming to town.
Notice to airmen and temporary flight restrictions.
You fail to adhere and you will get escorted by a couple of serious military jets to an airport of their choice. Also most likely to have a command appearance before some F.A.A. officials who are only there to help you>
