Four fans were escorted out of Oriole Park at Camden Yards after unfurling a pro-Donald Trump banner during Thursdays game between the Orioles and Blue Jays, according to a Baltimore Sun report.
The red, white and blue banner, which supported Trumps reelection campaign, bore the messages Keep America Great! and Trump 2020. It was unfurled during the eighth inning of the Orioles 11-2 loss.

Baltimore. If you like your rats, you can keep your rats.
Hmmm. A ‘sticky’ situation possibly? So, according to the ‘oreo’s’ front office, was the banner also in bad taste as well as possibly blocking the view of someone? It was political.
Didn’t the Orioles play a game to an empty stadium during the late “disturbances”?
Well done, Boys. Well done. At least you got to see most of the game. By the 8th inning, people are leaving, so that would make their exit safer. Less people around = less chance of a Trump Hater going crazy, getting violent.
Does a venue or the organizers of an event at a venue have the right to surpass the freedom of people who attend an event?
(John 3:16)
During the Freddie Gray riots yes, the Orioles played the Chi Sox in a stadium empty of fans. I believe it was deemed unsafe for fans to come downtown to the stadium environs. (one could say that for just about any Os home game LOL. Although I personally have never had any problems).
Yes. For a very large number of reasons.
The Constituion only guarantees that government will not infringe on your freedom of speech, etc; it does not limit the right of a private person/organization to expel you from their premises or fire you from a job for exercising your constitutional rights. A lot of people think they can exercise their constitutional rights without repercussions; they are wrong as far as private persons/organizations go.
An open borders group did something similar at the Red Sox/Rays game last night.
I wonder what happened to them?
Camden Yards is not private property, it is owned by the Maryland Stadium Authority.
I was thinking similar line. Escorted out for their own safety.
The local arm of the Dem Party, the Baltimore Sunpapers, still calls it the unrest, with no quotation marks. Until it is at least admitted to have been a riot, who can expect anything to change.
Before, during and after Baltimore’s professional sports games and other big events, there is massive law enforcement presence. Usually there are no problems in the near vicinity of the event.
In a word
YES!
I didnt realize MLB ballparks still allowed banners at all.
Isn’t it a blessing to be escorted out of an Orioles game?
Yeah they played to an empty park. My brother worked for the food service company that ran that and other stadiums. Him and his chief of security went down from MetLife stadium to check on things because they had massive amounts of theft from employees. While he was there they asked if they could go sit out and watch the game and the orioles or MLB said no way. They didnt want any fans to see anyone at the game afraid it would start another riot from ticket holders. My brother said they were always told not to go out at night whenever they went to Baltimore. One of the reasons he left his job of ten years that he loved.
