The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office on Thursday subpoenaed the Trump Organization over hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels in the run-up to the 2016 presidential elections.

Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr.’s office picked up the probe just weeks after federal prosecutors announced they’d completed their investigation into the payments, made by former-Trump fixer Michael Cohen.

“This is a political hit job,” Marc Mukasey, a lawyer for the organization, told The Post in an email.

If he’d used campaign funds or public funds....they’d have a case. Private funds? Unless he did some illegal wire transfer, or allocated the money into several transfers (all less than $10k each)...that’s about the only way to be in violation of the law. On the other side of this...it would be curious to know if Stormy reported it as taxable income to the IRS. She might be the only one getting into serious trouble.

Somebody please explain to me what New York State crime is involved in making a payment to a porn star to go away. Campaign finance law is a federal law and a national election would not be covered by any New York campaign finance laws. I can’t think of any laws that this subpoena could possibly apply to.

Vance refused to prosecute Harvey Weinstein when presented with an undercover audiotape of the movie mogul harassing an Italian model, but he decides to pursue bimbo hush money payments, even after a Federal investigation found nothing illegal? You’re damn right it’s a witch hunt.

And Donald Trump never signed the agreement. That was one of the reasons Daniels tried to get the agreement overturned. I wonder if she ever paid the money she owes President Trump for legal fees.

What’s funny here...is that Trump only paid her $130k for hush-hush money. After this whole court episode failing...she now owes the Trump lawyers $293k. You can do the math...but it’s a massive lose-lose situation. At some point, some judge appointed guy is going to show up at her house and start to take everything possible to cover the money owed.

It was around that point when the judge issued the $293k judgement that her husband said enough, and started divorce paperwork.

Vance is probably only pursuing this because Stormy offered to privately service him.

Did they show the same sort of veracity in matters concerning Anthony Weiner and Huma?

Release all records of secret payments made to women (and, presumably, men) who've made accusations against members of Congress!

ALL RECORDS!

Including Congresscritter's name, gender of the accuser and amount paid.

And at the same time do the exact same thing in the State of New York!

And maybe at the same time we can release various records connected to “Stormy's” lawyer...the one who's facing about 50 years at Colorado Supermax!

Perhaps it is time for the Trump Organizations and Trump himself to start suing for judicial harassment, and for significant damages. Discovery orders would scare the hell out of these city and state units.
