JOHN SOLOMON: James Comey Expected to be Skewered by DOJ IG Probe Into Leaked Memos – But Comey Will
GATEWAY PUNDIT ^ | 7/31/2019 | Christina Laila

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz is preparing a very damning report on James Comey’s conduct in the days leading up to his firing that will likely conclude he leaked classified information (memos) and lacked candor (lied).

According to a report out by award-winning investigative journalist John Solomon, Horowitz’s team referred James Comey for possible prosecution for leaking contents of his classified memos, but DOJ prosecutors under Bill Barr have decided to decline prosecution.

John Solomon does say however that Comey still isn’t out of the weeds yet and faces legal jeopardy in the ongoing investigation into FISA abuse and the origins of Spygate by US Attorney John Durham.

Comey’s ‘Trump memos’ were supposedly classified after he gave them to his friend to leak to the New York Times — this technical violation is what the DOJ used as an excuse not to prosecute Comey.

How convenient. The FBI changed the classification on Comey’s memos after they were leaked…coincidence? We think not.

I’m sure Comey didn’t intend to leak the memos. No reasonable prosecutor would take the case.

GOP leaking the bad news during the summer. No surprise. It will be “old news” by the time everybody besides gets back to work in September.

Nonsense. There’s nothing that says you can’t be nailed for more than one crime. Besides, putting him on the hotseat now could help in extracting info on other cases.

Just saw on Hannity that Barr doesn’t want to undercharge Comey on the leaks. Wants to nail him on FISA abuse.

How? The FISC doesn’t care it was lied to. Barr is just playing hide the ball here and avoiding a direct clash with the FBI.

So the DOJ is not capable of charging a person for two separate crimes?

Barr is moving the goal posts. Now will have to wait for the IG report on FISA abuses. I’ve never heard a date for that report. I could be wrong but I believe the IG report we are waiting on doesn’t cover that stuff.

"waiting for the bigger..."

That is not what I see in the real world (local/state).

Many actors arrested for lower crimes and charged later with various felonies as the case progresses.

The first arrest is important.

There is absolutely nothing, no crime that they could commit that they’d ever be charged for. They’re all in the same club

RE: "We keep waiting for justice......"

Remember that hearing where Wm. Barr told Trey Gowdy that he knows and trusts Robt. Mueller?

Remember when current FBI director Christopher Wray said under oath that he has no evidence of FBI involvement in spying on the Trump campaign or transition team?

The swampers laugh once again!

“First, John Solomon can’t possibly “know” what Barr will ultimately decide concerning indictment.”

Sure he can and he’s reporting that he knows. He’s an excellent reporter.
While I don’t welcome the news, I respect top-flite reporting. Solomon is it.

Let’s hope John Durham is tearing deep into SpyGate. It sounds like he’s got traction.

There is certainly no reason he can’t be charged with both.

Apparently, Bill Barr is fine with some laws being broken.

I don’t mind some patience, but I am also getting tired of being shown that there is an obvious two tiered system of justice in this country.

The cook just threw the first dish in the garbage and he's telling us that the next dish will be better.

***John Solomon does say however that Comey still isn’t out of the weeds yet

This is so hard to accept
We keep waiting for justice***

That about says it all nicely. My patience stretches thinner and thinner. This sop that bigger charges are pending only makes me say why then even make this announcement now? What purpose does it serve - other than to demoralize the citizenry? It would be better to just defer the decision to prosecute - 'no comment at this time.'

Meantime we have to digest the fact that many good people have had their lives ruined for the same thing that Cardinal Comey will skate on so he can continue to preach to us about what integrity and patriotism really is... Humbug!

You will have to do better than this in the longer run, AG Barr. ((notice served))
