So who won the first Democrat debate in Detroit? Well, CNN's Chris Cillizza has a very surprising answer that will shock (and depress) many. According to Cillizza, it was Donald Trump.
Of course, he had a list of other winners (and losers) as well but that was the pick that stood out. He presented that surprising choice in his July 31 "Winners and losers from the first night of the CNN debate."

The person CNN wants to win is in the 2nd session of the debate, Kamala Harris.
Let’s see what sort of questions she asked. Guarantee the second night CNN will crown a Dem champion. Wonder who that will be.
Of course they want the constituionally ineligible one.
CNN can crown Kamala the winner but there’s a problem: Harris is not a legal candidate. Neither of her parents were US citizens when she was born.
None of her Dem opponents is talking about this yet. I suppose if she becomes the front-runner, that will change.
But something tells me she will fail due to her unlikeability and Sleepy Joe will become the nominated and designated loser.
Whenever I click on a CNN link (yes, I shouldn’t), they put a glamour shot (like him in a rowboat or something) of Anderson Cooper and ask me if I want to give them my email so they can “summarize the news” for me.
Seriously, WTF.
