In an interview with the Associated Press, comedian and liberal activist Kathy Griffin said that after 2017 photoshoot in which she held a fake, blood-soaked Donald Trump head, she became “unemployable and uninsurable.
“I kept saying, ‘I think this is an important, historic story,’” Griffin said. “The President and the Department of Justice shouldn’t make you unemployable and uninsurable.”
According to the AP:
The result is a feature film, “Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story” that’s part documentary, part comedy special. She financed it herself and carried a poster from interview to interview on a recent press day.
“Look, I made it at Kinkos, OK? I’m still on the D-list,” she quipped, referring to the Bravo reality series that earned her two Emmy Awards.
The documentary portion gets raw, Griffin said.
“Like ugly Kathy, no makeup, crying.” But it’s also funny. Griffin taped stand-up that’s edited into the film. (She tried to sell it as a stand-alone comedy special and “nobody would even look at it.”)

She’s an edgy performer, she made her statement. For many people, she went over the edge. Her fortunes rise and fall on the acceptability of her performance.

Her statement reminds of those women who were doing fine and then woke up one day, finding themselves pregnant. No hint that she DID something. No hint that she has BAD JUDGMENT. She makes it sound like she was walking down the sidewalk, spooning an Italian Ice, and then Donald Trump sent a drone out to hospitalize her.
It was all your choice, lady. Choices have consequences.
If she did the same with a Hillary Head, should would be dead.

In my lifetime....I have found very FEW females in comedy funny.
Absolutely no pity to be had toward someone refusing to acknowledge the reality of the situation that they themselves consciously brought about.
Oh Kathy Kathy Kathy, it was your pathetic hate Trump actions that turned off over half the population (most of whom never heard of you). You have the right to express your opinion is whatever idiotic way you want, and we, the American people have the right to express our disgust and disapproval of your words and actions with ignoring you and your career. You have only yourself to blame for your position.
That is most unfortunate for her. She might look at other options like driving for Amazon.
