Washington (CNN)House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday celebrated the House passing the Pride Act, declaring the bill -- aimed at updating the tax code to provide equal treatment for same-sex married couples -- "long-overdue justice."
"Discrimination has no place in our society or in our laws," Pelosi said in a news release. "In passing the PRIDE Act, Democrats are honoring our diversity and providing long-overdue justice to countless same-sex couples across the country who have been denied critical tax refunds because of who they are and who they love."
The bill, which will now head to the Senate, would amend the Internal Revenue Code to remove gender-specific references to marriage and allow couples to amend their filing status to married filing jointly for tax returns outside of the statute of limitations.

This nothing burger should be drawn out as long as possible to illustrate the depths of Democrat irrelevance and inaction on issues that actually matter.
Wish that Republicans would stop letting this social issue divide us. I know about the financial aspects of critics on this issue and don’t ascribe to zero-sum games or begrudge others who have more of anything.

As far as the Bill goes, once the SCOTUS Ruled that Homosexual Marriage is the Law of the Land, everything else must follow.
It opened a Pandora’s Box, like letting Transgendered Men compete against Biological Females as equals.

So by trying to provide tax relief for constitutionally unprotected LGBT people, desperate Democrats are again effectively trying to buy votes at the great expense of unconstitutionally expanding the already unconstitutionally big federal government’s powers, Democrats exploiting voters who have probably never been taught about the fed’s constitutionally limited powers.
And since Speaker Pelosi brought up Internal Revenue Code and taxes, please consider this.
What Democratic and RINO career lawmakers need to do is to tell the Congressional Budget Office to start publicly reporting unconstitutional federal appropriations bills (yeah, right), spending bills that Congress cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, resulting federal taxes arguably stolen state revenues.
