The deceased gunman who killed three and injured 15 at a Northern California food festival Sunday night has been identified by authorities as Santino William Legan, according to multiple reports.

These are common factors in many of these mass shootings by young people.

Instead of scrubbing everything about this little monster, the public needs to know as much as possible about his background. Family, friends, associates, schooling, psychiatric history, etc, respecting the appropriate bounds of privacy while helping to explain how someone becomes a mass killer at such a young age.

I'm sorry, but all the garlic in Gilroy couldn't cover up the stench of this incident. Consider:

1. To buy a rifle or a shotgun (excluding assault rifles banned under state law) you must be 21. To buy a handgun you must be 21. The shooter was listed as being 19.
2. The shooting occurred 20 minutes before the event closed. I've worked events like this, and the crowd is winding down in the last hour, except for the frat boys seeing how much beer they can consume. If this guy wanted to inflict maximum damage and chaos, he would have started shooting about 3 or 4 hours earlier, when the crowds were a lot larger.
3. The police engaged him within a minute of shooting. Unless they were specifically patrolling the perimeter fences, that's pure dumb luck. Unless you had foreknowledge.
4. The shooter was KILLED, not stopped in a non-lethal manner. Okay, if the shooter turned his gun on the police, but otherwise, I would think you don't want to kill him. Especially in this era of "Blue Bad".
5. The first we heard of this guy's identity was about 12 hours after the incident. Sounds like some group(s) needed to set up this guy's identity for maximum political gain before the public knew who he was.

Am I being somewhat conspiratorial? Maybe. But in this era (and area) where anything done by the "Big Bad Orange Man" in the White House is eeeeeeevil, call me a giant skeptic.

If the book by "Ragnar Redbeard" (a pseudonym) is indeed a clue to the shooter's motives, then the shooter was a Nietzschean anarchist/socialist/social Darwinist who worshipped power and hated Christianity and Judaism.

In other words, the shooter's beliefs were mixed and ambiguous, and didn't fall neatly within our current left/right paradigm.

According to WEBmd, one of the most used sources for diagnosis by even some doctors, he would have had to have to display two of the following symptoms just prior for an extended time of about 5 months:

Delusions (false beliefs that the person won’t give up, even when they get proof that they’re not true)

Hallucinations (hearing or seeing things that aren’t there)

Disorganized speech and behavior

Catatonic or coma-like daze

Bizarre or hyperactive behavior

And since, in my mind, there is not going to be any diagnosis of the shooter as the real need of the lib media is to create another gun incident and use it to harm Trump and the conservatives, you won’t find anything on it as the libs will use this, and other stories, to offset their failure of trying to get Trump (and his whole family) on Russian collusion along with every other thing they can whether it exists or not.

You’ll notice this happened in California, which by state, has the strictest gun laws in the nation, just short of D.C. which is stricter and is not a state but a territory.

Eric Swalwell sought Monday to one-up each other with calls for the government to confiscate firearms.
