Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) signed legislation requiring every single-occupancy bathroom in public buildings in the state to be labeled gender neutral
Under Senate Bill 556, also dubbed the "The Equitable Restrooms Act," all single-occupancy restrooms "in a place of public accommodation or public building shall be identified as all-gender and designated for use by no more than one person at a time or for family or assisted use," the law states.
"Each single-occupancy restroom shall be outfitted with exterior signage that marks the single-occupancy restroom as a restroom and does not indicate any specific gender," the legislation continues.
The law also states that health officers or health inspectors will also be allowed to inspect public buildings "during any inspection" to ensure the space complies with the new law.

Just wait until women start coming into these stalls and find pee on the seats because men standing to pee didn’t lift the seats.
When this happens over and over an over again then the outcry will start.
“I have a couple of those in my house. I never thought about putting a sign on the door for the confused people but maybe I should.”
Be quiet, now!
We have a 4 bathroom home with no signs. If the PC lawmakers hear what you posted, we might have to post gender neutral signs on 4 doors.
Can’t wait for the TERFS vs. TRANS war to start!
“Just remember to put the seat down.”
That’s another piece of legislation coming down the pike. I’ll bet you a doughnut that THAT issue goes all the way to SCOTUS, LOL! :)
“Just wait until women start coming into these stalls and find pee on the seats ”
Women no longer count in identity politics. They are now at the same level as cisgender white Christian males. Meaning, they count for nothing in the liberal pantheon of aggrievement.
Oddly, the entire Left has gone after the alphabet soup vote when that vote amounts to just four percent of the total. This is because LGBT is so over represented in the media, TV and movies that the Left has the impression it is over 25%. I think they are in for a rude electoral awakening.
So, when do they ban all locks on bathroom doors and stalls?
At this point, I would argue that a man leaving the seat down and peeing is political free speech, thus protected by the First Amendment.
Welcome to Amerika, where even the bathroom is political!
No problem with single stall bathrooms being open for everyone. Always bugged me that there would be two, one man, one woman, and people waiting to use a single stall of their sex when the other was open. Made no sense.
I’m glad to hear that the Illinois legislature is not wasting its time on trivial matters such as how to rescue the bankrupt state pension plans.
In France they have a room with a hole in the floor and it is used by both sexes at the same time . . . and many young men have been hit between the eyes with a high heel for looking.
This is what your elected officials now spend time on - minutiae of social engineering.
So woman can also clean up after men who piss all over the toilet seat. Welcome to the club girls. The Democrats got this for you.
That's the reason women prefer that the single bathrooms be sex-labeled. Sometimes men pee on the seat, or so I've been told.
I've lived and travelled in the 3rd world. I think rather, men and women just become used to, and accept, ever lower standards in public behavior, sanitation, government, etc....
Unless you see 4 feet in them expect it.
Wait, what?
The cisgender white Christian female, cisgender white Christian male, straight black Christian male, straight black Christian female, straight Hispanic Christian male/female votes may indeed overwhelm them.
Intersectionalism vs. Intersectionalism.
TDS requires it.
And I hope that women in Illinois remember whom to thank for this!
