I saw in a video directed to Americans that one of the best options for getting money of the US is to simply use an ATM at the foreign country of your choice. Obviously if you have, or obtain, accounts at multiple banks, you can get quite a bit of money moved relatively quickly. Obviously let the institutions know you are on holiday for a couple of months.
