It is so sad to see @VictorBlackwell & @CNN turn the light currently shining on #WestBaltimore into a race issue. This could result in a positive change. @RepCummings could help get his district in order. Listen to one of his constituents explain the "rats & rodents" problem.

I read through some of Kimberly Klacik’s posts. (Is that her real name?) She makes a lot of points very well & has a lot of potential, I would say.
That said, I think experience will show her that the notion that even with a light shone on the problems, Cummings will do much to actually effectively “get his district in order” , is a bit naïve. Cummings has been the district Rep for 20 years, and has directed plenty of money to it. His district is right as he wants it...
Wow!

There's an opportunity... Organize an effort to help people clean up the neighborhoods, I'm sure the money will be made available goodwill Americans who want to help, it could also be a catalyst for @kimKBaltimore to run for Congress and bring real leadership for your district :)
Not guilty!
Stupid urbanites! If Republicans ran their cities they
would be in good shape. The Democrats and their media
toadies would never let the GOP get away with these
travesties.
Um, how bout dey put down dey smart phone an pick up summdat garbage?
“Is there a reason these people can’t clean up their mess?”
Renters wont buy solid garbage cans with lids. Landlords wont supply them because renters — especially Section 8—destroy or steal them.
Renters put out their trash in cardboard boxes & open bags. It spills.
People eat & drink while walking past, then toss their refuse in general direction of a pile.
Wind blows it down the street.
People say, “It ain’t my garbage, I put mine in a box.”
Garbage men wont pick up loose trash, or trash placed in open boxes & bags likely to break & spill. Only trash in hard receptacles.
City councils then vote for “automated” trash pickup, which requires a tax increase to fund mafia cronies in the waste management industry.
Special wheeled cans with attached lids are then distributed, along with slow-moving automated trucks that lift & empty the cans.
Renters then tear up the taxpayer-funded cans, and the cycle continues.
When I lived in the innercity, our civic group pushed for landlords to pay for lidded cans, & dumpsters for larger complexes. We wanted the cost paid by tenants thru refundable rent deposits. No charge if can returned to landlord intact.
Landlords fought back & won. Too hard to enforce, they said.
We got the automated system instead, & the mess continued.
It comes down to self respect & personal responsibility.
Government funding obliterates that.
Thank you. What a nightmare!
