Just happened upon this from Hong Kong.
It is a live view of a demonstration there.
What I noticed first of all, is that in addition to a bunch of people all hanging out there, in a place that has (never) been American.
Has a crowd, waving five large US flags.

But this seems to be a possible issue.
China recently, said they might just send troops, even though Hong Kong is still supposed to have freedom for 30 more years.
Potentially an issue, for the protesters.
Just for reference, it is currently Saturday afternoon here.
I was there last Sunday. Arrived at the metro station around 8 PM where they were having the huge protest. I took a short video of it. If you saw videos of it last week where there was a fire they set at a barricade, the place where I took the video from was right above where the fire was set ( I took it just about an hour before )
Now something is happening.
Apparently there are now quite a lot of people there, but the film has switched directions, now there is evidently a law enforcement bunch, on one end of the the get together.
Just off to one end. Pretty organised, but just there at the moment.
I am not there, just happened upon the video feed.
Interesting.
Isn’t the triad an organized crime outfit?
As I understand, yes.
Just now it seems potentially to be a bit more, it is still early in the afternoom/evening, but it seems less like a social afternoon now, and just a bit more the beginnings of something.
Not sure, and nor sure what.
They are currently focusing on the police line, but it is all very organised.
Very calm.
Something however seems to be setting up, anyway.
Oh the law enforcement seem to be pushing forward now.
All very peaceful.
They’re supposedly a pretty brutal group.
Things are getting scary over there.
I don’t know.
The police just, very efficiently, cleared an entire city block.
There is still something of a stand-off, but it is now a block away. :)
You can bet there are some triads in NYC, ask around, or not. 🤫😵
The law enforcement just held up a large sign, in English and chinese:
Caution, tear smoke.
Nothing is happening though. This is all very peaceful and civilised. At least so far.
Sorry my browser automatically capitalised English, but not Chinese.
Excuse me.
Yeah no I’ll stay with the paesani where I belong.
OK the police seem to be prepared now, they seem to have donned gas masks, maybe.
Not a huge bunch, but we will see.
I don’t know if I entirely agree.
But there is definitely a line beyond which they are not comfortable supporting free expression.
Back at the time of Tiananmen, I thought the free expression was welcomed for a while. What seemed to happen to me, was there was a line beyond which, the regime felt they had to crack down.
I did not agree with them. I still do not agree to this day.
I think however, there are similarities between then, and now.
I think it is maybe time, for them to start backing off just a little bit.
The Chicoms need not worry. They have Russkie backing.
