Musicians Plan 46 Anti-Trump Concerts in Swing States for 2020

If you thought the collusion between entertainment industry and the Democrat Party was bad in the past, just wait until you see what they have in store for 2020. The Democrats don’t even have a nominee yet but already a series of anti-Trump concert rallies has been announced to “harness the power of music to help elect the 46th President of the United States.”

According to Billboard,

a pair of music industry veterans turned activists are announcing a new initiative titled 46 for 46, described as a "strategically planned series of 46 unique concerts in 46 different cities in the states that matter most during the lead up to the 2020 election." The goal: to help launch the Democratic presidential nominee into the White House using the inspirational power of music.

So far, the list of acts is unimpressive. Between Nathaniel Rateliff in Colorado, Dashboard Confessional in Florida, Lissie in Iowa, Patty Griffin in Maine, Sylvan Esso in North Carolina, and Bon Iver in Wisconsin, I’ve only heard of one of the artists. But with the level of Trump hatred exhibited by celebrities, I can guarantee that bigger music stars will sign on to defeat Trump, whether it’s through 46 for 46 or something else.

Frenette wants to "bridg[e] the gap between music, activism and politics," but I don’t see much of a gap anymore. People are sick and tired of politics taking over every aspect of their lives and now they want to literally make attending a concert a political act.

Hmmmm. Well, being a musician and being conservative is a tough row to hoe. I have several fellow musicians friends that are conservatives but a lot more musician acquiantances that are not. Some are extremely vocal and vicious in their beliefs. My politics are mine. Theirs are theirs. My opinions are mine, theirs are theirs. My facts are those I choose to believe. Same with their facts. As with so many unsavory issues out there, no, folks don't want this crap to be at the forefront of every aspect of their lives. But, they will NOT do that. Sad dang situation. "No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot." Mark Twain's wise words.

They dominate the entertainment industry so we have to cede this ground.

We need to fight elsewhere. How about 46 actions to trim voter rolls to only those that are active and vaild? In the states that are important. Over and over because each time they’ll find some superfluous registrants.

Those concerts will do NOTHING.

I guess they will entertain some people.

But musicians have ALWAYS overestimated their importance.

I played drums at 10 and guitar at 11 and I am conservative.

Though back then I was a very wild conservative :)

I knew some great conservative song writers. The lie about the right being stodgy and unimaginative and not fun is just that.

A HUGE LIE.

They can have their anti-Trump concerts, but I hope and expect nobody will show up.

The list of ‘entertainers ‘ is nearly as unimpressive as the gaggle of contestants for the dem game of who has the tater/nominee wanna bees.

President Trump should have rallies in same cities at same time and compare turnout.

Never heard of any of them, they pretty much killed any chance that we will.
Ticking off 50% of the population is not a good marketing strategy.

Yes, every concert-goer is looking forward to hearing nonstop “F#%K TRUMP!!” screamed a couple dozen times from the stage. These people are known for their deep insights into politics, liberty and freedom.

Big list of nobodys.

Meanwhile, the most famous musicians/celebs turned out for Hillary-Dumpty. Lot of good it did her.

I’m a musician and post a lot on a musician site. You are right. Conservative musicians are rare. I suppose leftism comes with the territory. But a lot of them DO grow up. It’s just a small percentage.

I post here a lot as robroy: https://www.harmonycentral.com/forum/forum/Off-Topic/OT_The_Political_Party

On Animal Farm it was considered important for morale to have the sheep bleat the latest song:

“Four legs good, two legs bad...”

And later, when convenient, because the pigs were adopting human customs, including walking on their hind legs ...

“Four legs good, two legs better...”

Of course scads of people will show up. A nifty bit of psy-ops would be to spread the word that ICE agents are buying up loads of tickets for all these events. That should keep the crowds down a bit.
