It is, evidently, recent...I’ve heard him speak in the not so distant past and he spoke more eloquent than yesterday...

1. His performance is taken from the Vincent the Chin Gigante playbook.
2.Also burying and fumbling in the text, pretending to read, mask facial and eye movement making it hard to read
3. continually after getting a hard question, looking up to his left

No it’s not so evident.

He’s a burnout or alzheimers case. He is only presented to the public when he’s lucid. He chooses public times.

He may have had an undiagnosed minor strike. However, it was known that he did not want to “testify” before this bunch anyway, so perhaps he just took he easy way out by limping through it.

I don’t like him and I think he was as corrupt as he could get away with - that is, everything would emerge as a negative for Trump, whom he apparently hated. But even he couldn’t manufacture evidence, although it is clear the Dems wanted him to do that. He was under oath, btw, and thus liable for perjury.

If it’s dementia, less than a year can be the difference between outwardly normal to the average person to completely non-functional.

Rapidly progressive dementia can occur within weeks.

He hasn’t spoken at all (other than that very recent short presser, where he took no questions) since he was appointed!

I think you might act like that when there is the cloud of federal indictment hanging over your head. I think he was caught between taking the Fifth and trying to give limited bumbling answers that he can later claim he “misspoke” on.

Yesterday was an act. The Democrats didn't get the outcome they wanted with the Mueller report, so they will demand a do-over because Mueller gives the appearance of being less than sharp (but he was reasonably sharp when answering Dem questions).

One opinion is that he is not senile, but that he was being totally evasive.

Look at Muellers career you will find the Weissmann was not far. I think Weissmann was behind Mueller being picked. He gets Mueller to put him on the team. Knowing he is now frail, weak, mentally not together he will be the one running the Invest not Mueller.
