My parents moved to California from Long Island, New York in 1974.
My sister and I were already there.
When my family moved to California, we voted Republican (and still do, though not in California). In many elections, we voted straight GOP down the ballot.
I lived there for seventeen years and I saw no shortage of native-born Californians who voted liberal. Then there are the voting age anchor babies, who vote majority RAT.
I understand what you are saying about people moving there from other states, but remember Ronald Reagan moved to California from Illinois.
The flip side of that coin....Barbara Boxer, from New York....Adam Schiff, from Framingham, Mass.....Nancy Pelosi, from Baltimore, MD.....etc.
I think the biggest problem is the illegal alien invasion. Reagan’s amnesty deal, which he regretted later, gave amnesty to millions of illegals who then proceeded to vote mostly for the RAT party. Then there is the anchor baby situation, where illegal aliens pop out a baby and just like that....poof!....an American citizen with voting rights at age eighteen.
The president floated the idea of abolishing birthright citizenship. I wish he would pursue the idea.....it’s many decades long overdue.
Its why conservatives have to become outright hostile to liberals/lefties who move into conservative neighborhoods. Make it known that they are not wanted. My sisters family lives in a conservative neighborhood in NoCal. This 4th of July they had their annual parade along with a huge Trump 2020 float. Then the Democratic Party float rolled down the route and they were booed loudly. This has to happen more often, even if it feels
mean spirited.
Help is on the way. California will require the rezoning of single family plot to multi-family plots. Tear down those Agenda 21 offensive single family homes and build Agenda 21 compliant third world stack and pack ugly grey concrete apartments.
That's seems a bit odd.
I should have mentioned, every single one of those we know who left CA are far to the right. Talking about a dozen and and a half people. It's the reason they bailed. For example, in the past 15 years or so, look how many from CA who are/were regulars on FR declared they were bailing out and did so.
My experience tells me the only leftist who've bailed out of the leftist kingdom of CA, are in the minority of those leaving and they were forced to do so due to job changes etc.
1967-1971 home prices in the
Petaluma/Santa Rosa area were
averaging $18,500 for a 1800
sq ft tract home. Dad and me
sheetrocked a bunch of them.
I've been saying this for years. The elites will also have a ready-made servant class of low-wage illegals from south of the border.
That's my home state and I've considered leaving CA and going "home." Then I think of Idaho's 4 distinct seasons: June, July, August and Winter. Or put another way, Winter and Road Work. I'm conservative and don't know where to escape to. I'm beginning to think Socialist Hell is our future wherever we live.
I was all set to leave California for conservative Virginia next year. And then a few years ago Virginia started going Commie Lib and will be solidly liberal Democrat soon.
I am thinking about South Carolina now. Not my first choice, but at least it is a conservative state with coastline. How many are there? 3 maybe?
Alabama, Mississippi, Texas and South Carolina are the only conservative states with coastline, and the Gulf coasts for Alabama, and Mississippi are miniscule. Hat tip to Georgia, which is moderately conservative and has coastline.
Contrast this with 14-15 liberal states that have coastline, many with long stretches of it.
Looking for a new home, I understand how the Indians felt when they were being pushed onto the reservations. All the really good places are taken by the commie libs and all that is left are the less desirable places — too hot, too cold, too rugged, too barren, etc.
All you need to do to prove this is call a UHaul office. Taking a truck from anywhere, USA to California costs a few bucks, and taking the same truck OUT of CA costs literally hundreds of times more.
Atlas is about to shrug and has a moral obligation to do so...
hordes of ravenous locusts fleeing barren land after they stripped it to more fertile environs where they can repeat the process ...
“Theyre turning NV blue.”
Colorado has already been done in ...
NOOOOO! Idaho is not "nearby"! It's 12,872 miles by car and airplanes don't land here because the natives shoot at them. There's desert and wild animals and giant tarantulas and Gila monsters and grizzled b'ars and chupacabras everywhere! (Note to self: look up plural to "chupacabra" - chupacabrae? There's lots of them anyways). We have a total eclipse of the sun every weekend. Graboids! Giant cannibal potatoes (note to self: wouldn't cannibal potatoes eat other potatoes?) Plagues of locusts carrying plague! It rains poisonous frogs! When it rains. It never rains. Nope, you don't want to come to Idaho.
Birthright citizenship was never meant to be for outsiders coming here. It was created solely for black American slaves, who had been denied citizenship despite being born in the U.S.A. It wasn't until much later that liberals twisted the law and manipulated it to allow illegals to have anchor babies. The law needs to be re-established to its original intent, giving birthright citizenship only to babies of American citizens. Others falling outside of that rule can apply for citizenship, same as others who come into the country from outside.
“Once the middle class is out, I guarantee you all the homeless tents and camps will be razed and the elites will have CA to themselves.”
And I guarantee you that the elites will be crushed, that their homes will be burned to the ground and that they’ll be hanged from lampposts.
I hate solar and wind farms.
How can people claim to be green and support these blights on the landscape that kill birds?
They make me mad every time I see them.
So you're trying to assert that solar panels kill birds? That's beyond pathetic.
And wind turbines kill far far far less than the average domesticated housecat. Until you whine about pets, your mewling about turbines is useless. In fact, it is anyway.
You forgot Mormon Crickets...
They’re just plain ugly period.
Hate ‘em.
