'Disoriented' Mueller's stumbling responses to questions during blockbuster hearing leave social media concerned the special counsel seems a 'confused old man' but some think it is all a strategy to frustrate the committee members

Mueller faced members of the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees on Wednesday morning at a highly-anticipated hearing on the Russia investigation

Viewers reacting on social media noticed Mueller stumbled at several points

'Mueller is acting like he doesn't know what's going on,' one viewer wrote on Twitter. 'He's acting like a confused old man'

Some viewers have said Mueller's shaky demeanor calls his report into question

Others think the 74-year-old veteran prosecutor sounds uncertain because he is being overly-cautious about coming off as impartial

Perplexed viewers are questioning Robert Mueller's 'confused' demeanor as he testifies in front of Congress.

The special counsel faced members of the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees on Wednesday morning.

Viewers reacting on social media have noticed that Mueller appeared to stumble at multiple points.

'Robert Mueller comes across as a doddering old fool with a questionable moral compass based on situational ethics who should never have been appointed in the first place based on reduced mental capacity,' one person tweeted.

'Mueller is acting like he doesn't know what's going on,' another wrote. 'He's acting like a confused old man.'

Some are saying the wobbly performance is a delaying tactic on the part of the special counsel to frustrate Republican committee members determined to discredit findings that are damaging to President Donald Trump.

When it came to questions at the core of the report, Mueller delivered firm answers without hesitation.

Asked whether Trump had been exonerated or if he could be charged with obstruction of justice when he leaves office, Mueller replied: 'No' and 'Yes' respectively.

"...Others think the 74-year-old veteran prosecutor sounds uncertain because he is being overly-cautious about coming off as impartial saying something that will land him in legal trouble at best, and prison at worst, totally demolishing the portrayal of him by the media as a patriot doing a fine job..."

There. Fixed it.

He knows exactly what he’s doing.

He’s two different people, depending on whether a (D) or (R) is questioning him, with completely different behavior and demeanor (and hearing capabilities) depending on which.

We all noticed the problem when he gave his last little speech.

I said that he and his family had been threatened royally.

I think Mueller may be in some kind of legal jeopardy when he stated that Trump could be charged with obstruction based on his report after he leaves office.

He was under oath and said he would not go beyond the four corners of the report. That is a gigantic jump beyond the report.

Found this.....

After seeing Mueller today I think there may be truth to this article –

OCTOBER 3, 2018
Congressman Details Robert Mueller’s Reported Excessive Drinking During the Work Day; Insiders Call For FBI Investigation/

“U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller is being tossed into the Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Ford alcohol drinking controversy, according to an upcoming book detailing and revealing Deep State and D.C. secrets.

Mueller reportedly has been spending parts of his work days drinking as well as his evenings, according to detailed accounts and reporting from the upcoming Deep State tell-all book ‘PAINE: How We Dismantled the FBI in Our Pajamas.’

Rumors of Mueller’s drinking have gone mainstream in recent months after employees at upscale D.C. watering holes notified Congressional personnel of the Special Counsel’s frequent trips to the bar, often during week days, insiders report.

This obviously is concerning, given Mueller’s key role in D.C. politics as well as his influence over the White House and President Trump. And some in Congress are calling for an investigation. But they dare not challenge Mueller publicly. Yet.”

So it turns out that Mueller was just a figurehead, probably in early stages of some type of creeping age-related mental deterioration.

So WTF actually ran this investigation? Weissman? Where is he hiding? Haul HIM up before Congress!!

Why didn’t any of the R’s ask him about Hillary’s collusion with Russia?

Someone should have asked him about the missing strawberries.

Or said the word "anthrax" and watched him soil his Depends.

I never followed Mueller’s career closely, I remember when he was FBI director which is why I said it “may” have been an otherwise stellar career. His performance today eclipses anything (good) he may have done in the past.

Mueller is contradicting himself by agreeing to the Dems saying the only reason Trump wasn’t prosecuted was because of the OLC opinion, yet his joint statement with the DOJ stated emphatically it was not a consideration.

The Dems are still making a case for impeachment, but I think they are overplaying their hand.

It is a sad closing to what may have been a stellar career>P> He's getting no less than he deserves, the lying careerist bastard. Far less, in fact. He'd look good in orange.

Nadler must be doing a face plant by now.

Maybe. Would the Commie Rats have the gall to demand a do-over because Mueller proved that he was senile and incompetent??

The Democrats have committed an egregious error putting Mueller under oath and in front of a Television audience...to be cross examined.

Daily Mail is interested in making money. And there is nothing wrong with that. They have been imo more impartial than just about anyone - but their tabloid style turns a lot of people off.

Sounds like that flakey woman who accused Kavanaugh of raping her sometime in the 1980s.

Democrat to Mueller: "Did Trump try to have you fired?"

Mueller's response: "Well of course he did... Look how feeble and confused I am... I should have never been in charge because I can barely chew gum and walk, let alone determine when and where a crime was committed."

I’m not sure he’s lying as much as he never thought he’d have to appear in front of Congress to justify the report. I’m betting Weissman wrote the report and Mueller was just a figurehead.

Mueller had to constantly ask the Dems what section of the report they were citing. Seems odd for someone who was the “author” of the report.

Re Congresswoman Powell’s questions to Muller about “obstructing justice”; Mueller acknowledged that attempting to obstruct justice is a prosecutable crime as is out right obstruction.
The democrats on the Judiciary made clear this morning that “No one in the US is above the law”. Then that is clear that all of the mayors who are obstructing justice by alerting the “illegal aliens” in their respective cities prior to ICE coming to enforce the law are CLEARLY OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE. They are not above the law. Neither is Hillary Clinton nor her cohorts. Demand Justice, DOJ needs to indict them all now!
